the day of the dead

For my October project I worked in my black journal by Dylusions.
The background is done with paints and stencils, because unfortunately you won't be able to see Copic Marker ink on black paper. But I had a wonderful time colouring this girl by The East Wind. Lots of hair and pleats to colour. There is also a lot of doodling in the background. I used Molotov Markers and Multiliners to do the doodling.

Here is a close-up of the image. I used the following Copic Markers to colour her:
Skintones (which is not a lot as you can see) E000, 00, 01, 02, 11, 21
Hair V01, 04, 05, 06, 09
Blouse: RV 02,04, 06, 09 and YR 15, 68 and Y 02, 13,15, 17
flower and butterfly: YR 15, 68 and Y 02, 13,15, 17 and RV09
shading BV00, 08

have a wonderful day
and see you next month

Challenge #44: Paper Piecing!

Challenge #44

Hi everyone!

Deborah here for you with the super fun NEW challenge #44!
Thank you for all who participated to our latest challenge, it will be a hard time to choose a winner!
There are so many great entries!
The winner will be announced on the 4th of October.

Our new challenge is:
Paper Piecing!
I just love to paperpiece some parts of an image. If it's has to be a quick card, you can win some time with it. Or it's a perfect solution if something went really wrong with your image. You don't have to start all over again

And here's my inspiration card for you. I've used "Oh, Snap!" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

And it's a shakercard! I love making shakercards lately. It's my second now and there will come more of them!
I paperpieced her skirt. I always look for tiny designs on the papers wich I want to use for this technique.

I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. The stars after the frame are silver, the sequins are bright pink. I cutted the little camera's out of the design paper.

I kept the card very simple.  I only added a bow and some pearls.

Here are the colours I've used for it:
skin: E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
hair: 100, N7, N5, N3
yellow bow: Y28, Y08, Y06, Y02, Y00
eyes: G28, YG17, YG13, YG11
pink: BV29, RV69, RV17, RV13
blue: BV29, BG09, BG05, BG01, BG000
white: N5, N3, N1, C0

To enter, enter your link in Mr Linky
before the end of Thursday October 29.
The winner will be announced on the first of November.

So now, it's your turn! Show us your work, and you can win
3 sketch markers of your choice.
Please be aware that only entries from those living in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East are possible.

Hugs

Red Corvette

Hi!
It's me again - Christina - and it's my turn to inspire you this first day in October!
My friend's daughter passed her drivers test and she is now driving around in her cute little red car.  All happy! I have this gorgeous stamp from Magnolia and it's perfect for a "Congrats on passing your driving test"-card.

I just love to color in red, especially with the pens I have used. Can you imagine I have only used one R-pen?

Diny taught me this colour-combo a few years ago and it´s my absolute favorite combo. The card itself had to be clean and simple, I wanted the car to shine. No flowers or other decorations. The text says "Congratulations on passing your driving test" and it's in Swedish.

Now - what pens if not reds?

Red T5-E19-08-R27
Grey N9-8-6-5-3-2-1

That's all folks! Have a great day!

Time

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here :)

Today, I thought I would share a card using this beautiful image from Polkadoodles. I love her big watch. I thought she would look great with an Airbrushed background... you don't have to ask me twice to start squirting ink everywhere!!

I built up quite a lot of layers of ink on the background for a lovely smooth coverage. I didn't catch a good photo of that. By the time I finished, the ink was quite tacky, so I grounded her with a black pencil, as I did not want to over saturate the ink and make a sticky mess.

Then to finish the card, I just doodled a border, which as you will probably know, is my usual style.

Copics Used...
Skin; E50, E00, E11, E71
Hair; E31, E34, E55, W3, W5
Ground; 100
Background; T2, T3, T5
White; T0, T1, T3
Gold; Y23, Y26, YR23, E33
Turquoise; BG53, BG57, BG18, T5

Thanks for stopping by... Have a great day.

Pink Fairy

Hello Copic lovers!

Franz from Italy, here again with a new Paper Crafting Project.

As Saturated Canary Dt Member, I have had the chance to give a little contribution to a gorgeous project supported by Krista Smith, simply colouring one of the super cute fairies drown by Krista for this special occasion.
The digis are only going to be available through the Kickstarter Campaign and you have to support the project to have them! It's a lovely pretty project for children, let's have a look and you'll love it for sure!

The name of the fairy I chosen for my project is "Pink Fairy", so I immediately thought of  pink hair!

I created a romantic criss cross card using  papers from Maja Design and lots of ribbons and flowers.
I think this fairy is just adorable and I had so much fun colouring her, I hope you like it!

A Orange SeaHorses

Hi everybody,
It's me, Saskia from the Netherlands.

One of the most beautiful places on earth is probably the sea,  but the most people don't take such good care of nature. Personally I'm a true lover of the life in the sea, especailly seahorses and dolphins. Actually I think everything under the sea is beautiful.

The seahorse are a small species of vertebrate that are found in the tropical shallows and temperate waters around the world. The seahorse is also commonly found around coral reefs where there's plenty of food and places for the seahorse to hide. Seahorses can also be found in many different colours but the exact colour of the seahorse is down to the particular species of seahorse and the area in which it lives.

So today I have an orange seahorse for you all.

The background is made with Dylusions paints, stencils and stamps from Studio Light.
The little bubbles I drew with a multiliner.

The colours I used are:
YR000-01-02-04-12-14-16-18 and 21

I hope you enjoyed my page and I'll see you next month.
Have a creative day.
