Angelina and her crazy hair!

Hello everybody Copic Lovers!

Franz here today with a brand new CAS card that I made for my dear collegue Cristina, who turned a new year a few days ago....

Cristina has lot of problems with her hair in the morning and she never likes it when she arrives at work!

So, I thought that the lovely Angelina from Mo Manning with her balloons and her crazy hairstyle was just perfect for her birthday!

I coloured her funny hair with one of my favourite colour combos: E21, E25, E29; I started with the darkest one using the dark to light technique, I left some little white areas that I coloured up at the end with the lightest marker: E21.

Since Angelina is a little girl, I coloured her skin in quite light tones using my usual skin colour combo: E0000, E000, E00, E11 and R20 for cheeks, but I've been light with the darkest marker E11, so as not to weigh her lovely face down.

For her dress I have chosen one of my favourite colour combos ever: the red one! I used: R000, R20, R27, R35, R37 and R59...lot of markers for a so little space, right?!! Well, I wanted to give lot of contrast and depth to the dress :)

If you want to achieve this result, you have to be careful and start with R27 or R37, not with the darkest marker, blend with the lightest ones and then start again (and again!) with R59 with very little touches to add depth and blend again with the other colours.

You have to do this several times as long as you're not satisfied with the result and you have to be very light handed every time!

Ballerinas

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Copic Marker Europe Blog!

 Franz from Italy here with a brand new Copic Papercrafting Project :)

 Today I coloured up two lovely Ballerinas from Mo Manning, using two different shades of pink:

 

 

 

For the blond little girl I used E50, E51, E53 because I wanted a very light tone and I added some little shades with E35.

 

For her dress I used R20, R22 and R000, a combo that give it an old pink tone.

 

For the other Ballerina I used R81, R83, R85 to have a darkest pink effect.

I used the confetti technique for the background, blanding around the dots with the lighter mark and with blender.

Bon voyage...step by step!

Hello everybody!
Franz from Italy here with a brand new Copic Papercrafting Project :)

Today I've a lovely charachter from Krista Smith for you all; I had lot of fun on colouring her hair and dress.

I used a blond tone for the hair; I generally don't love blond hair with Copics so much, just because I'm not always able to give them the depth I want.

For this lovely girl I added some brown tones to the blond ones in the dark zones to achieve my depth goal and I love the result!

 I love the old pink tones and I used them to give a vintage style to her dress; I made the same thing using the warm greys for her bag and suitcase:

 

I used the confetti technique for the background, blanding around the dots with the lighter mark and with blender.

Poinsetta

Hello everyone!

Franz here with a new little Copic project again...

Today I've a card with a lovely Tilda from Magnolia; Magnolia stamps are always so sweet and lovely, especially the Christmas ones!

I used a classic Christmas colour combo: red and warm grey to give a vintage touch to the white areas of the image.

 For my character, I created a romantic card with lots of lovely embellishments.

Hold my hand

Hello everyone!

Franz here with a new little Copic project again...

Today I've a card with a lovely Saturated Canary, one of the latest characters from Krista:)
I had lot of fun colouring her, especially her hair and her dress...

I used my favourite colour combo for the hair and I also love the pink I used for the dress, I use this combo quite often too.

The background is a combination of Confetti and Smooshy technique as I often like doing; I added some details with a warm grey to give it more depth and a vintage look.

Un-conventional Chrismas Colours

I started very early with my Christmas cards this year and today I created one using un-conventional Christmas colours... and a super lovely Saturated Canary Fairy!

The card is a clean and simple one, but I used my well loved fuse tool to create a shaker box for the Chrismas ball, just to make something funny and different from my usual :)

Christmas in June!

Hello everyone Copic lovers,
Franz here with a new little Paper Crafting Project!

We are having another raining day here in Italy, grrrrr we are looking forward to go to the beach!

 

This terrible weather make me thinking to autumn instead of summer, so I thought to start creating my Christmas Cards, so maybe that I have not to run as usual on December!

Lovely Mermaid

Hello everyone!

Franz here with a new little Copic project again...

Summer is just around the corner and I had lot of fun with this cute mermaid that I found on Deviantart...The talented artist who drawn her is called Yampuff and I love his/her work so much :)

I coloured her hair in pink, love pink hair for whimsical characters! And I decorate it with some little pearls with my white gel pen.

 

The underwater background is a combination of Confetti and Smooshy technique as I often like doing.

Sweet Girl

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!
 

Franz here, with a super sweet Saturated Canary girl who is part of a set called "Faces".
I think she's so sweet, she reminds me of Cinderella! So I coloured her dress in blue tones:

Since she is so lovely and sweet, I thought to create a very romantic card for her  and I used shabby papers from Pion Design, doilies and lots of flowers:

I coloured her in quite bright colours, but I made the background using warm greys to give to the image a vintage touch.

I used a combination of Confetti and Smooshy Technique to colour my background:

I learnt the Smooshy Technique from our Faye at 2014 Copic Convention;

A big Ballon for you!

I chose her because I loved her hair and her big balloon, so fun to colour!

She is just perfect for a Birthday card, so I added a cut out sentiment from Dutch Doobadoo; I love them so much and I love the detail that kraft cardstock gives to cards:

Blue Fairy ♥

Hi everyone and happy new year from Italy!

Here I am again with a brand new Saturated Canary Card.
It was love at first sight when I saw this fairy and I had a lot of fun colouring her.

I immediately loved her pose and the funny ears!

I wanted to colour her in blue, I love odd colours when we are talking of fairies, so I thought that blue hair would be perfect!

I used delicate papers from Maja Design, a piece of lace and organza rose ribbon; some cheesecloth here and there and my little project is done!

Love RED!

Hello Copic Lovers!

Franz from Italy here to share my latest make with a super lovely Saturated Canary image, coloured 100% with Copics of course!
I found this girl too sweet and as soon as I saw her I thought of  RED, the most Christmas colour of all!

...so RED is her skirt and about all of my card too! 

RED is one of the hardest colours to manage I think, but it can give you lot of satisfaction!

After some attempts, I think I have found the markers combo that works better for me and now I'd love to colour every image in red! Maybe also because Christmas is just around the corner?!!

I created a birthday card using different, bright coloured papers since the image inspired me to create a colorful and lively project

Colouring lovely zombies!

Hello everyone!

Franz here today with a scary tutorial about colouring zombie characters.

I've chosen a Saturated Canary image, "Zombie and her kitty" in the light version.

First of all, I coloured her skin in Blue Violet, but I started with Warm Greys to make her face a little dirtier.

I used four markers, colouring by dark to light: W7, W5, W3, W1

Then I coloured from dark to light again using Blue Violet Markers: BV23, BV00, BV000, BV0000

  

Then I added some BV08 here and there to give some accents to the image; I coloured the rest of the skin with the same technique.

Then I coloured the eyes in two different colours; the left one is the typical zombie eye :)

Here I used my Copic Multiliner 0.5 to draw some parts of eyes, the scars and the eyebrows



Then I coloured her hair.
I wanted black hair and I started colouring using the black marker: 100



I added some C5 (and BV23 here and there) to narrow the tips of darker lines and to make them longer trying to practice thin lines!

Then I coloured the white gaps within the lines using B01, but I left some highlights here and there



Finally I coloured the cat (from dark to light: C7, C5, C3, C1 + Black Copic Multiliner 0.5), the outfit (from dark to light: V06, V04, V01, V000 + some touches of W5 on the darkest areas)....



...and the background in warm grey: W5, W3, 1, 0

here is the finished card
