Thranduil, the Elvenking

Dear Copic friends, Autumn is here! and I love it, it is my favourite season (^_^), for this reason I though that it is the perfect date to show you my new fan art inspired in "Thranduil" with Autumn colours as protagonists.
Thranduil is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. He is a supporting character in The Hobbit, where he is referred to as the "Elvenking," and he is referenced briefly in The Lord of the RingsThe Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. He is the father of Legolas.
The name 'Thranduil' means 'vigorous spring' in Sindarin.
Please enjoy it (^__^)/

To create this illustration I used:

- Skin: E000 - E00 - E21
-Eyes: BG01 - BG05 - B24
- Hair: E50 - W3
-Crown: C3 - C5 - C7 - BG01 - BG05
- Background: Blender - W9 - B99 - FYR1 - B29
- Leafs: E35 - Y38 - FYR1 - E37 - E29
I used white an yellow ink to add little details.

See you soon! \(^o^)/   Happy autumn!

CAS Airbrushing

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a CAS card with simple airbrushing. I love the look you get with the airbrush and it is a nice simple way to add colour to your backgrounds.

I used an image (and sentiment) from the MFT Beary Special Birthday stamp set which I coloured with my Copics then cut out. I cut a rectangle the size of an ATC because it's a format I like and airbrushed it using different Copics starting from the bottom of the rectangle. I then put my image and sentiment on foam squares for a bit of dimension and added a few Papermania Dots.

Bear: E25, 27, 29, 40, 41, 42, 43, R20
Red: R35, 37, 39, 89, T5
Gold: E33, Y11, 21, 26
Background: Y15, YG05, YR61, V04

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx

A Big Hedgehog Hello

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

I am a big fan of quick and simple cards. Sometimes, I enjoy extending that theory into my colouring too. I think an image coloured simply and well, looks just as beautiful as an image that has many colours and lots of details.

This little chap is from My Favourite Things Happy Hedgehogs and he's so cute, I wanted him to be the focus of my happy hello. I hope you like him.

Copics Used...
Face/ Tummy etc; E50, E51, W1
Spikes; E41, E42, E43, E44

Thanks so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

Hold my hand

Hello everyone!

Franz here with a new little Copic project again...

Today I've a card with a lovely Saturated Canary, one of the latest characters from Krista:)
I had lot of fun colouring her, especially her hair and her dress...

I used my favourite colour combo for the hair and I also love the pink I used for the dress, I use this combo quite often too.

The background is a combination of Confetti and Smooshy technique as I often like doing; I added some details with a warm grey to give it more depth and a vintage look.

Here is the complete list of Copic Markers I've used:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 + R20 for cheeks
Hair: E00, E13, E15, E18, E25
Eyes: BG000, B93
Dress: RV00, R81, R83, R85, R89
Rose: BG000, B93, B95
Background: BV23, BV02, BV00, BV000, W1, W3

Hi everybody.

I don't know about you, but, I find I have a few favourite colour combos I use for dark hair.
Copic Markers have a huge number of darker shades in different colours of grey. These look great when used in combination with other colours which are ideal for the coloring of hair.
Especially if you use a white pencil to apply high lights as a finishing touch.

The background is made with a Gelliplate and ARA paint.
The image is from Sakuems - Louna

This sweet girl is of course coloured with Copic Markers.
The colours I've used are:
Skin: E0000 - E000 - E00 - E04 - E11 - E21 and R20
Lips: R02 - R20 - R21
Eyes: B01 - B02 - B04
Hair: 110 - B21 - B26 - C5 - C7 - C9 and with pencil from the brand Stabilo
T-shirt: R46 - R59 - R89 - RV99
Choker: C3 - C5 - C7

Thank you all for reading,

 a BIG hug,

Lettering with Copics

Copic has some great products for lettering like the Copic Markers,  Copic Multiliners and the new Copic Gasenfude.

I've tested the gasenfude and I just love this new brushmarker.

The gasenfude has a wonderful brush and can be used in combination with all your copic markers.

The nylon brush makes lettering easy

The gasenfude is perfect for doodling too.

From left to right I increased the pressure on the brush and as you can see, you can make either a very thin line or very thick one. This is very convenient with lettering also.

Some more doodles, just playing with thick and thin lines.

Because I love playing with different markers I decided to play some more and make this little card. I used the gasenfude, copic markers and copic multiliners. And a wonderful quote by Katherine Hepburn.

I added a few thin pencil lines to guide me a little and wrote down the words using different kind of markers.

I coloured some of the words with Copic Markers.

used the  BG05, YG06, FRV1, FY1 andY38 for colouring the words.

Thought it needed a little extra so I added some flowers and swirls too.

For the background I used some aquamarkers and because all the Copic Makers, Multiliners and the
Gasenfude are waterproof you don't need to worry about smudging your project.

have a creative day
see you next time
