Cinzia here, to share with you an exclusive news for Copic Marker Europe blog. :) :) :)

Most of you know the selfie photograph of Hollywood celebreties taken at the Oscars by Bradley Cooper and posted on Twitter by Ellen Degeneres, that has taken the social media world by storm and smashing every record for retweets.

The selfie mania seems to become established everywhere in the world and in Sweden, two Tildas of the last Magnolia collection, “Tilda with Bowknot” and “Sneaky Tilda”, have taken a selfie before going to visit many crafters’ houses all over the world.

They kindly sent it to me for posting it on CME blog…

… and asked me to prepare a card to celebrate their friendship, I’m so honoured and happy!!

Today I'm back at the row to show you a new inspiration with the Copic Markers. Today I have brought you a new motive of Magnolia. It is Sagrittarius Tilda and is from the brand new Zodiac Collection. The paper is also from Magnolia. It comes from the With Love Collection.

In this coloration I have made a small change to the color of the skin. Instead of E13 as the darkest shade I have taken this time E4. I think this is also very nice. What do you think? Scroll down for all colors

Christmas card

Hello Copic-Friends!

Here is DeeDee again and today I show you a christmas card with the Puppy Love Tilda from the Winter Wonderland Collection of Magnolia. The designpapers are from an older collection of Maja Design called Crea Diem. I used Fran-tagé Shabby White around the image. On the Flowers I add a little bit of Snow-Tex and all edges are inked with Distress WalnutStain.

Little Summer Scene

Here is Diana! Today it is my day on the Copic Marker Europe Blog.

I have made for you a card with a small scene. It consists of the gorgeous Vintage Swedish Background and the cute Tilda with Cross Necklace. Both are from the current Special Moments Collection of Magnolia. Oh my... I really love this Collection so much! In addition the great Loveley Fence punch. The background paper is from the Vintage Spring Basic Collection of  Maja Design. Another thing I really love! *lol*

♥ Waiting for Spring ♥

Today it is my turn, DeeDee, to show you another inspiration with Copic Markers. For my post I have made this card using the cute Sitting Tilda with Butterfly from the Once Upon a Time Collection of Magnolia. The designpapers are from Maja Design from the Vintage Spring Collection.

For this coloring I have used the "No Lines-Technique". This means that you don't see any black lines of you image. To achieve this effect I have stamped my image with Memento London Fog. This is a light grey color. For more instructions please visit the wonderful tutorial from Kathrin HERE!

Today is a very special day for me... I am so excited to join the hyper talented Copic Marker Europe Blog Design Team and therefore I want to thank you Ladies a 1000 times... :) Still can't believe I'm colouring around with you now... WOW! So today it's time about showing you my first creation... drumm roll...
Heute ist ein sehr besonderer Tag für mich... Ich freue mich so sehr zum hyper talentierten Copic Marker Europe Blog Design Team zu stossen und dafür möchte ich Euch Ladies 1000 mal danken... :) Kann's immer noch kaum glauben, dass ich nun mit Euch kolorieren darf... WOW! Also ist es heute an der Zeit Euch meine erste Kreation zu zeigen... trommelwirbel...

 I've made a card with this sweet Tilda, cuddling up on a cold winter day.  I thought the paper with the dove fits perfectly with the sentiment. Psalm 31:24 - Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord... That's what I wish you all for the upcomming New Year.
Ich habe eine Karte gewerkelt mit der süssen Tilda, die sich an einem kalten Wintertag einkuschelt. Ich fand das Papier mit den Täubchen passt perfekt zum Text-Stempel. Psalm 31:25 - Seid stark, und euer Herz fasse Mut, alle, die ihr auf den HERRN harrt... Das wünsche ich Euch allen für das bevorstehende Neue Jahr.

 I've coloured Tilda in the design paper colours and the background with a smudgy technique. That makes the sky look a bit more natural, kind as if it's snowing :)
Tilda habe ich in den Farben des Designpapiers koloriert und dazu den Hintergrund in gefleckter Technik. So sieht der Himmel etwas natürlicher aus, als würde es halt eben schneien :)

 Over it all I used a lot of stickles and liquid pearls.
Über alles habe ich eine menge Glitzerleim und Liquid Pearls.

Ich habe Papiere aus dem neuen papier-Pad "It's Christmas Time" von Maja Design verwendet. Ich denke, man kann viele dieser papiere für andere Gelegenheiten verwenden.

Die Blumen sind eine Stanze von Marianne Desigen, die Nadel habe ich selbstgemacht. Der Schnörkel ist von Cheery Lynn.

I roll a little piece of the paper in the right corner, behind this corner I placed a Magnolia tag with the sentiment.

Tutorial: Paper Piecing

Hallo liebe Copics-Fans!

 Today it is time again  to share a tutorial with you. It's me, Diana, , who has the honour to do so. I have been inspired to make this tutorial by the dear Nicole (Nicolchen), who has shown several beautiful creations with paper piecing lately. That's why I decided to make this tutorial about "Paper Piecing".

Heute ist es wieder an der Zeit euch ein Tutorial zuzeigen. Diesmal habe ich, Diana, die Ehre. Als Inspiration für dieses Tutorial diente mir die liebe Nicole (Nicolchen),. Sie hat in letzter Zeit so schöne Werke mit Paper Piecing gezeigt. Deshalb habe ich mich also für das Tutorial zum "Paper Piecing" entschieden. 

So let's get statred!
At first a little explanation as to what paper piecing is about. Simply said, it means to colour stamped images using design paper.

Also fangen wir an!

Als erstes eine kleine Erklärung was das Paper Piecing bedeutet. Ganz einfach heißt es, das wir mit Desginpapier Stempelabdrück "kolorieren".

Step 1
First you choose a suitable image. I decided to use the sweet Tilda with a flowerpot from Magnolia. The coat is very suitable for paper piecing, because we have a larger area to show off the design paper.

1. Schritt:

Als erstes sucht ihr euch ein geeignetes Motiv aus. Ich habe mich hier für die süße Tilda mit dem Blumentopf  von Magnolia entschieden. Hier eignet sich der Mantel sehr gut für das "Paper Piecing", da wir hier eine größere Fläche haben und so das Designpapier toll zur Geltung kommt.

 Step 2
Now you stamp the same image a second time, but this time onto the design paper that you have chosen. I decided to use the same design paper that I will be using on the layering of the card. It is from Maja Design's collection "Life in the Country". You don't have to stamp precisely because we only need the piece for the coat;0)

2. Schritt:

Nun stempelt ihr das selbe Motiv noch einmal ab. Aber diesmal auf das Designpapier, was ihr euch für den Mantel ausgesucht hab. Ich habe mir hier Designpapier ausgesucht, was ich auch später auf meiner Karte verwenden möchte. Es ist von Maja Design aus der Kollektion "Life in the Country". Ihr müsst hier nicht genaus stempeln, da ihr ja so wie so nur den Mantel braucht. ;0)

Step 3

Now you colour the image except the coat. This is where we will glue on the paper piece.

3. Schritt:

Nun koloriert ihr euer Motiv soweit fertig. Lasst aber den Bereich für den Mantel frei. Hier kleben wir gleich das kolorierte Designpapier auf.

Step 4
Now you colour the designpaper. First I cut out the pieces for the coat, but if you want to colour first and than cut out, that is possible, too.
I made two colour examples for you. For the first one I used warm greytones for the shading. On the second I used colours matching the colour of the design paper. For my card, I chose the version with the W-Markers. But as you see, you can play around and try several ways.

4. Schritt.

Nun wird das Designpapier koloriert. Ich schneide mir die Stücke für den Mantel als erstes aus. Wer aber lieber erst kolorieren und dann ausschneiden möchte, kann das natürlich auch so machen.

Hier habe ich mal zwei Farbbeispiele für euch gemacht. Bei dem ersten habe ich zum schattieren die warmen Grautöne genommen. Und bei dem zweiten habe ich mir zum Designpapier farblich passende Copics ausgesucht und damit die Schattierungen koloriert. Für meine Karte habe ich mir die Version mit den W-Tönen ausgesucht. Und damit geht es nun auch weiter. Aber so könnt ihr sehen, das man nicht nur mit Grau schattieren kann. Probiert es selber einmal auch und experimentier ein bissen herum.

Step 5
Here you can see the coloured and cut out coat. Now we glue it onto the coloured image.

5. Schritt:

Hier seht ihr meinen fertig kolorierten und ausgeschnittenen Mantel. Diesen kleben wir nun auf unser soweit fertig koloriertes Motiv auf.

Now Tilda is coloured and dressed completely *g*

Und schon ist die Tilda fertig koloriert und angezogen. *g*

And that's it!
I found this technque interesting and it adds the certain "it" to the image.
