Today it is my turn to make a tutorial for you and this time I will use the "Activator". For this project I chose digi's from “Make It Crafty” because they have great backgrounds. I have to admit that I have them all, but almost never use these stamps because it is quite a lot of color work. The way in which the background will be colored this time, I did use before to color, for example tickets or tags; so it can be applied in different ways.

heute bin ich an der Reihe, ein Tutorial für euch zu machen und dieses Mal werde ich den "Aktivator" verwenden. Für dieses Projekt habe ich Digis von “Make It Crafty” ausgesucht, weil sie großartige Hintergründe haben. Ich muss zugeben, ich habe sie alle, aber ich verwende diese Motive kaum, weil die Koloration sehr viel Arbeit macht. Die Art, wie ich dieses Mal den Hintergrund kolorieren werde, habe ich vorher schon verwendet, zum Beispiel für Tickets oder Tags, man kann es also auf verschiedene Arten anwenden.
We start with printing the image on Copic paper one time and twice on normally, thin copy paper. From the first copy we cut out the larger masks of the objects we will colorize in the usual way. From the second copy the rock and the horizon are cut out.

Wir beginnen damit, dass wir das Motiv einmal auf Copic Papier und zweimal auf normales, dünnes Kopierpapier ausdrucken. Aus der ersten Kopie werden wir größere Masken der Objekte ausschneiden, die wir ganz normal kolorieren werden. Aus der zweiten Kopie werden der Felsen und der Horizont ausgeschnitten.
Then we will paste the masks on the Copic paper. To paste I always use “2 way glue” myself.
Apply the glue with dots on the ends on the back of the mask and let it dry.
Once dried the glue is no longer permanently and it can be removed when finished. For the tiny parts and the tree a "masking fluid" is used. This is a kind of liquid rubber which can be applied with a small paintbrush. This is also easy to rub off when we are done.

Dann kleben wir die Masken auf das Copic Papier. Ich verwende immer "2 way glue”. Tragt den Kleber mit den Punkten auf der Rückseite der Maske uf, so dass man sie wieder entfernen kann, wenn man fertig ist. Für kleine Teile und den Baum wird eine "Masking Fluid" verwendet. Das ist eine Art flüssiger Gummi, den man mit einem kleinen Pinsel aufträgt. Es ist leicht wegzurubbeln, wenn man fertig ist.
Now we will start with the sky.
For this purpose we lay on the great mask of the rock and everything which is below the horizon.

Jetzt beginnen wir mit dem Himmel.
Dafür legen wir die große Maske auf den Felsen und alles, was unterhalb des Horizonts ist.
We will start with the sky and the green parts of the trees. Normally I colorize from dark to light, but now we will work from light to dark. Further we still need the Activator, the colors we want to use and little sponges. It doesn’t matter what kind of sponge, but the coarser the sponge, the more structure it will give. So we use an ordinary sponge, which first is cut into small pieces.

Wir beginnen mit dem Himmel und den grünen Teilen des Baums. Normalerweise koloriere ich von dunkel nach hell, aber jetzt arbeiten wir von hell nach dunkel. Außerdem brauchen wir den Aktivator, die Farben, die wir verwenden wollen und kleine Schwämme. Es ist egal, welche Art von Schwamm, aber umso gröber die Struktur des Schwamms, umso mehr Struktur können wir erzielen. Wir verwenden einen gewöhnlichen Schwamm, den wir zuerst in kleine Stücke zerschneiden.
We take a piece of sponge between the fingers and apply the color we want to use; in this case B52. Then we spray the Activator on it and directly start using the sponge.

Wir nehmen ein Stück Schwamm zwischen die Finger und tragen die Farbe auf, die wir verwenden wollen; in diesem Fall B52. Dann sprühen wir Aktivator darauf und beginnen direkt, den Schwamm zu benutzen.
We start with the sky.
Use only the first time the ink, after that spray the Activator on it. We continue until the desired result is reached. Between, you can apply ink on the sponge again. Spray the Activator again when more color is desirable.

Wir beginnen mit dem Himmel.
Benutzt die Farbe nur beim ersten Mal, danach wird nur Aktivator aufgesprüht. Wir wiederholen den Vorgang, bis das gewünschte Ergebnis erreicht ist. Zwischendurch kann man wieder Farbe auf dem Schwanmm auftragen, sprüht den Aktivator wieder auf, wenn mehr Farbe gewünscht wird.
On the above picture, some parts of the sky are darkened with B34 in the same way we have done the first time. This can be done also with the same sponge.

Auf dem Bild oben sind einige Teile des Himmels mit B34 in der gleichen Art behandelt worden, wie wir es beim ersten Mal gemacht haben. Dazu kann man auch dengleichen Schwamm verwenden.
On the above picture I have done the leaves of the trees in the same way as the sky, but with a clean piece of sponge and the colors YG03 YG67 G94

Now we continue with the rock.
We remove the first mask and replace it by the mask of the sky. (The road with grass or a tree can simply blend into each other a bit, but that is not possible with a rock and the sky.)

Jetzt mach wir mit dem Felsen weiter.
Wir entfernen die Maske und ersetzen sie mit der Maske des Himmels. (Die Straße oder ein Baum können miteinander verschwimmen, aber das geht bei einem Felsen und dem Himmel nicht.)
On the above picture, we color the rock in the same way as the sky, but with the colors E08 E07 E09. We continue with the road; and therefore we use the colors E15 E17 E19 and E18, only on the road we don’t dab, but wipe across the paper in the direction of the road.

Auf dem Bild oben kolorieren wir den Felsen mit der gleichen Methode wie den Himmel, aber mit dem Farben E08 E07 E09. Wir machen mit der Straße weiter; dafür verwenden wir die Farben E15 E17 E19 und E18, nur auf der Straße tupfen wir die Farbe nicht auf, sondern wischen in der Richtung des Straßenverlaufs über das Papier.
Finally we will color the grass, for which we use YG93 YG95 YG97 YG99 and we do this again with a small sponge.

Schließlich kolorieren wir das Gras, dafür verwenden wir YG93 YG95 YG97 YG99 und wieder tun wir das mit einem kleinen Schwamm.
We start with the lightest color for the entire surface and the darker we go, the less we apply.
At the end this will be the result.

Wir beginnen mit der hellsten Farbe auf der gesamten Fläche und umso dunkler wir werden, umso weniger tragen wir auf.
Das wird am Ende das Ergebnis sein.
Then we can remove all masks and rub off the masking fluid. Then we continue with the coloring of the remaining objects.

Dann entfernen wir alle Masken und rubbeln die Maskierungsflüssigkeit ab. Dann setzen wir die Koloration mit den verbliebenen Objekten fort.
On the above picture, I finally add a few stripes and dots to the blades of grass, the tree and the road for more depth.

Auf dem Bild oben habe ich zum Schluss noch ein paar Streifen und Punkte für Grashalme und mehr Tiefe bei den Bäumen und der Straße hinzugefügt.
