Bookmark

Hi there Copic lovers, Elena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

I made a bookmark with a Some Odd Girl clear stamp coloured using the No Lines Colouring Technique and stamped with Memento London Fog Grey Ink.

The bookmark has an elastic band so you can use inside or outside the book.

I will show you in pictures how important it is to colour at least two times when we colour to get more contrast and depth, even when we are using markers that aren't so full.

Skin colours: E0000, 00, 21, 11, 13, 95

Hair colours: E51, 53, 23

.....and of course the use of the Multiliners helps soooooo much in the colouring process too.
Here is the image re-touched with grey and black in the eyes and sepia in the hair:
Sweater colours: YR31, Y35, YR24, E15
Eye colours: BV000, 23, 25, 29

Bow and shirt colours: BG90, 93, 96

The list of markers I've used to colour the image:

Skin: E0000, 00, 21, 11, 13, E95
Hair: E51, 53, 23
Sweater: YR31, Y35, YR24, E15
Greens: BG90, 93, 96

Keep calm and Copic doodle on..

Hi all Copic lovers,

It is my turn to show you a Copic creation,
after a few posts with hand lettering this time
I have made some doodle tags for you.

As always I start to make a hand drawn design,
this design was made with my black Copic Multiliners
and the big lines were done with a black sketch (100).

I scan the design and save it on my computer
and later I  print the design onto Perfect Colouring Paper.

I did several doodle versions, this version was done in black and white only.
I just got my Copic Multiliners out and started to doodle.
I have used different black Copic Multiliners
for the bigger details a 0.3 tip and
for the tiny details I have used a smaller  0.1 tip.

It is so relaxing, I can spend hours just drawing away.

This is the finished black and white version.

Another black and white printed version was coloured
with some of my red Copic and a black Copic Multiliners.

This is the finished version.
I have also added some red stones on the right side of the tag.
Possibilities are unlimited.

Why not use more Copic colours and experiment?

That is what I did and so this is my rainbow version!
I can recommend to doodle, it is great, relaxing and fun to do.
No rules just let your hands do the work, brain on relax mode and enjoy.

These tags can easily be used as bookmarks or be added on gift packaging.

Here are the original designs and the three versions together in a photo.

Underneath you can find the list of the Copic products used.

Hope you will keep calm and doodle on too, thanks for your visit.

Bookmark with Feathers...

Good Morning! I'm Cristina Valenzuela.
First of all, happy new year!!!
I wish you a year full of good things and a lot of colours.

I have a project a little different than usual for me.
I tell you a little ... I have decided to work with greys because I have an eye problem, my perception of colour is a bit different these days.

So I have chosen this beautiful drawing for colouring, it has lots of grey tones, but it also uses blue, brown and pink. I do not know if you can really see it, because they are colours tinted with grey, forming a set where nothing stands out too much.

One of my personal challenges of this new year is to make one bookmark per week, an easy way to use many of the drawings that we colour for the pleasure of colouring. I hope you like my idea, and encourage yourselves to do the same.

For colouring I have used the following Copic:
Lots of Greys: T1, T0, T3, T5, C0, C1, C3, W3, W5, W1, N1, C5, C7.
And other colours:
E04, E00, E11, E70, E71, E81, BG10, R27, E31, E33, E47, E44, E43, E41.

For today, nothing more, I hope to have something full of colours next month.
Thanks for your visits and comments.

Ready to read and relax

Good morning everyone! It's Sarit here.

Just came home after 2 amazing weeks in Cuba!!!
OH, What a beautiful place, it's like going back in time….

Since I had a LONG flight I took with me books to read, the only thing I need to add are bookmarks to my books.
I made 2.

here is the first one

I love nature and wanted to make a bookmark with quote in it.

The leaves pic I took from Wikipedia when I search for leaves.

Wanted to give the copics  look like water colors effect.

I used the following colors: BG09, BG49, BG45, BG32, G43, YG01, YR31, YR21, YR24
Started from the middle to the sides. (I wrote the colors in the order I used them)

For the background I used: E71, W3, W1, W0, and blender to soften it.

For my second bookmark I used fairy sleepy digi stamp from Mo Manning.
I wanted to give it a magical touch, so I add a magical quote and started to color the little cute angel.

Here are the colors I used:
Skin:  E000 E00 YR000 R20 E11

Bookmark

Hi there copic friends!

Åsa here today with some new inspiration.

This time I have made a bookmark for myself.
I have started a lot of books again, and I didn´t have any bookmark.
So - it was time to make one, don´t you think!?

I have colored on kraft, I think it gives a nice and smooth effect.
Remember to be a little careful with the darker colors when you are coloring on kraft/cardstock, cause it tend to get easily outside your lines....

The image is from Saturated Canary and I have used the following colors:

Skin: E11-21-00-000-R20-11
Hair: E57-55-53
Shirt: RV95-93-91
Skirt: N8-6-4
Books: E35-33-31 / E74-71 / E43-42
Cup: RV93-91 / BV25

Hope your having a wonderful start on the new year!
