It's me again, Diana!
I am happy to share another Copic marker inspiration again. This time I made a summer-ish card. And following my style of crafting of course I used another one of the cute Tildas by Magnolia. The stamp's name is Tilda in Key Largo.

The letters for the word sea have been cut using the Vintage Market cutting die by Tim Holtz.

The edges of the flowers have been inked up with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then I added some Star Dust Stickles to them. The flowers can be found at Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Summery Card

Hallo an alle! Hier ist Delphine und ich möchte Euch heute eine Sommerkarte zeigen! Nachdem die Schule zu Ende ist, ist es Zeit, auszuspannen und die Sommerferien zu genießen... und zu colorieren! Dies ist die Karte, die ich gemacht habe:

Beautiful Tilda

guten Morgen, Copic-Freunde.

I fell in love with this little Magnolia stamp, isn't she just a darling.  I've used quite dramatic colours but I really like how it has turned out.

Ich habe mich Hals über Kopf in diesen süßen Magnolia-Stemel verliebt - ist er nicht einfach zauberhaft? Ich habe ziemlich "dramatische" Farben genommen, aber das Endergebnis gefällt mir sehr.

I found the large black flower in my stash which I have had for years so decided to make a feature out of it by adding some beautiful pink lace and a bouquet of flowers.

Die große schwarze Blume habe ich in meinem Vorrat gefunden. Ich hatte sie seit Jahren und nun habe ich beschlossen, sie zu verwenden und sie mit rosa Spitze und Blumen aufzuhübschen.

The paper is so beautiful, it is by Maya and I have fell in love with them and will definitely be adding more to my collection.

Tilda of course is coloured using copics. I have used BV20 for the understone/shading of the skin, a little tip from my friend Jane.

The little tag pulls out and is adorned with beautiful Maya butterfly paper.

Meet Out Guest Tracy MacDonald

I just absolutely fell in love with the multi image set of sailor boys Mo Manning released through Mo's Digital Pencil.  It's such a blessing to be a member of her team and get to work with her images.  I couldn't resist going to one of her stamps again for my guest card.

 Ich habe mich absolut in das Matrosen-Motiv-Set von Mo Manning verliebt, das durch Mo's Digital Pencil herausgebracht wurde. Es ist toll, ein Mitglied ihres Teams sein und mit ihren Motiven arbeiten zu dürfen. Und ich konnte nicht widerstehen, eines ihrer Motive auch für meine Gastdesigner-Karte zu verwenden.

Working with Copics has been a slow and steady learning process for me.  Everything I know has been learned through coloring tutorials just like the ones posted on Copic Marker Europe.  I always start with the skin and hair and then choose my designer papers, coloring the rest of the image to match.  In this case I wanted some vintage style masculine papers to go along with the little boy.  I even found a charm in my stash with a British ship on it.

Mit Copics zu arbeiten war für mich ein langer aber ständiger Weg des Lernens für mich. Alles, was ich darüber weiß, habe ich durch Colorations-Tutorials, genau wie die hier auf dem Copic Marker Europe Blog, gelernt. Ich beginne immer mit der Haut und den Haaren, wähle dann meine Designpapiere und coloriere den Rest des Motives passend zu den ausgesuchten Papieren. In diesem Fall wollte ich Papiere mit einem männlichen Vintage-Stil verwenden. Und in meinem Vorrat habe ich sogar einen Charm mit einem Segelschiff darauf gefunden.

Come back for more spectacular candies

Tutorial on coloring rosy cheeks

Hi Copic Fans,
hallo Copic-Freunde.

A little while back I posted a little milk carton I had done using an image called Strawberry Beatrice by All That Scraps on my personal blog. I got a lot of question about how I had colored her cheeks so I figured I would do a tutorial on how exactly I did that on this blog.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich auf meinem persönlichen Blog eine Milchkartonbox gepostet, auf der ich das Motiv Strawberry Beatrice von All that Scraps verwendet habe. Ich habe eine Menge Fragen bekommen, wie ich die Backen coloriert habe und so dachte ich mir, ich mach für diesen Blog ein Tutorial in dem ich genau zeige, wie ich es gemacht habe.

For this tutorial I have decided to use another Beatrice image, this one is called Honey Bee-trice.

Für dieses Tutorial habe ich mich entschlossen, ein weiteres Motiv von Beatrice zu verwenden. Dieses hier heißt Honey Bee-trice.

First I color the face like I always do. I first color the whole face with E0000.
***
Zuerst habe ich das Gesicht so coloriert, wie ich es immer tue. Zuerst coloriere ich das Gesicht komplett mit E0000.

Next I take my E11 marker and color the parts of the face that would be the darkest, in this case under her hair.
***
Als nächstes verwende ich den E11-Marker und coloriere die Teile des Gesichts, die am dunkelsten sind, in diesem Fall also am Haaransatz.

Now I take my E00 and blend the E11 towards the lighter part of the face.
***
Dann vermale ich das E11 mit dem E00-Marker in die Richtung des helleren Teils des Gesichts.

Again, but this time using the E000.
***
Dies wiederhole ich, diesmal verwende ich E000.

And finally I complete the face with the E0000 again.
***
Und zum Schluß beene ich das Gesicht wieder mit E0000.

Now I add the cheeks, I start with E11 again.
***
Nun füge ich die Backen hinzu. Ich beginne wieder mit E11.

Carefulle not to blend to the top but only in the direction of the mouth I take the E00 and blend.
***
Dann vermale ich die Farbe mit E00 und passe dabei auf, dass ich die Farbe nicht nach oben, sondern nur in Richtung Mund vermale.

Again with the E000, still being carefull to work in a straight line to the middle, not upward.
***
Dies wiederhole ich mit E000, immer noch darauf achtend, dass ich in einer geraden Linie Richtung Mitte und nicht aufwärts arbeite.

After this step I decided that the cheeks were still to light, especially for this tutorial, so I went in with the E11 again and basically repeated the steps before this one with the E00 and the E000.

Nach diesem Schritt war ich der Meinung, dass die Backen noch zu hell waren, besonders für dieses Tutorial. Darum habe ich nochmal E11 verwendet und die vorhergehenden Schritte mit E00 und E000 wiederholt. 

Finally finishing with the E0000.

Zum Schluss ende ich mit E0000.

This is my result after coloring every other part and 3D paper piecing the whole picture together again. I did the cheeks a bit more dramatic this time.

Und so sieht mein Endergebnis aus nachdem ich alle Teile des Motivs coloriert und mit Paper Piecing zusammengesetzt habe. Diesmal habe ich die Backen etwas auffälliger coloriert.
