End of Summer??!

Hi!
Helen here showing you a card (one image, two different scenes).
I used "End of Summer" by Mo Manning. I have it as a clear stamp through Stampavie.
And as you will see, it can be in the middle of Summer as well depending on how you color it.



I started by stamping my image on Perfect Coloring Paper with Memento ink.

Sketched in my background with C1.

Started with the sky, B0000.

I wanted a bright, colorful sky, so I went in with B24, which was a mistake.

Tried to get some shape, roundness in the cloud.
I used C00 - C0 - C1 - C3
For her skin I used E000 - BV20 - E11 - E50 - E04

The grass: YG03 - YG17 - T5
The sand: E31 - E33 - E35

Water: B32 - B41 - B45 - Gelly Roll Dark White

Hair: E07 - E19 - E29
Top: V0000 - V000 - V01 - C1
Jeans: B41 - B97 - B95 - B91
Flip flops: V000 - V1, C1 - C3
Flowers: Y17 - C1 - C3

This time I made a card out of my image because
I wasn´t pleased with the outcome of my coloring.
It was the color, B24, for the sky that I didn´t like.
But by cutting it down, I´m very pleased.

I started of with this background, this was what I had in mind.
But I struggled a bit and, when I did, I forgot to take photos.

Skin: E000 - BV20 - E50 - E11 - R00
Hair: Y00 - E53 - W3
Jeans; B91 - B93 - B95
Fence: C1 - C0 - Blender , and I have many layers with C1
Grass: YG21 - YG01 - YG17 - YG67
Background: YG21 - E30 - YG91 - YG93, Blender, Gelly Roll Dark White

So, does it feels like the end of the summer in the images?
I think not.

Spring video with Vera Lane Studio digis

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today :) For today's post, I have chosen a sweet girl and created a scene around her, using digital stamps by Vera Lane Studios. The girl image is from the Birds of a Feather digi set, and the bush from the Lil Red and Big Dad set. Here is my final card:

How to fix a failed coloring

 Hi COPIC lovers 

Today I like to show you how to fix a failed coloring.

Sometimes (me often:) make mistakes when we color. 

So today I took an old coloring, with lots of mistakes.

How to make the best of the situation?

This is to dark but tjat mot the worst 

The glas was no lounger a glas !! 

…Step 1

omg what to do with this one ? I used various  ink (0 Blender) on this and by mistake I took à LOT more then I needed. So the edges at  the glas was no longer at the right place :) 

The coloring was to dark as well so what to do ? 

First I decided to try to cover the 

edges  with a dark marker. 

B79 

Step 2 

Blend out B79 with V17 

Step 3

Add some blue B21 

Step 4

I used V09 V06 and V04 

Just make strokes and blend a lot.

I  did this a couple of times to put the color together.

At the end I draw some threes with V09

Step 5 

Here I took the various ink and made some bubbles with a 

Cottons  

Step 6 

I added some highlights with a gelé-pen sakura white 

I really dont know of the resultat are better the before, but its good practis and the most importent is that you try and nerver give up.

Skipper the Mermaid

Hello everyone!

Rosi there!

I'm here today with a sweet little mermaid. I do love fairies a lot but I also love mermaids.

This one is called Skipper and it is from the digital stamps selection from Sweet november stamps.

My skin color combo is E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20 for the cheeks. I always start with E0000 all over the skin. Maybe I should try some other skin combos....

I go over my E11 with E21 in order to darken my shadows.

I colored the eyes with B04,02,00,000

Her hair is a combo from E30,31,33

I decided to color her tail in violets. V00,01,04,05,06

Crab and starfish are colored with Y02,11,13,15,17 and E13

Sand is colored with E30,33,35

And the sea BG10,13,01,000

Hello everyone! New post for the month of May. I have drawn Anya, a character from the Manga "Spy X family".

To you the tutorial:

Drawing with Copic multi-liner black.

E0000, E00 and E02 for the complexion.

G02,BG09 and YG41 for the eyes. C1 for shade.

RV10, RV13 and RV14 for hair.

BV000 and B60 for the shirt.

R35 for the ribbon and C5 for the shadows.

B18 and B99 for the dress.

E71, W7, W9 and Y17 for the headband.

For the stuffed toy: E0000, BG11, BG23, R35, R22 & Y17.

Beginner vs intermediate colouring of a character

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today :) For today's post, I decided to focus on the colouring of a character, showing 2 levels of colouring at the same time - certainly not to say one is good and the other is not good, but to show what real beginners can try to achieve, what you can do to try and improve your colouring and to show the differences between the two types of colouring. Open your eyes, and analyse ;)

So basically no card here since it is not the point today, but 2 coloured characters. For my tutorial, I used an adorable digi by Vera Lane Studio, a girl from the "I love hedgehogs" digi set.
