Christmas in Summer

Hi everyone, it's Virginia here again, with a new tutorial for Copic Marker Europe.

Summer is scorching in Spain and I try to keep my mind on fresh things: ice-creams, beaches, lemon hail and... Christmas time!!! Lol. So, I've finally decided to prepare my tutorial related with this season. And, to be honest, I've also seen crafters on the Internet doing Christmas projects so,  I'm not the only crazy person!! lol.

I'm spending some days on the beach, with my family, so you can imagine that I'm not really plenty of tools and different supplies to do an impressive project. That reminds me of that days when I started to do scrapbooking and how lost I was with the only few Copic Markers I had. I`ve tried to imitate that stunning backgrounds with antique appearance and it seemed to me extremely difficult. Years later I discovered how easy it is and with my tutorial I want to encourage you, who are starting to colour, to try it.

Here you have an step by step video tutorial with the process. You can find the stamp I've used in El Rincón de Setter .

The Copic Marker colours I've used are:

Background: E44-E43-E42-E41
Skin: R81-E13-E21-E00-E000
Hair: E35-E57-E47
Dress: YR27-YR24-YR21-Y00
Ribbon: RG97-YG95-YG93-YG91
Christmas Balls: R89-R39-R29-R24-R14-YG97-YG95-YG-93-YG91-YG21-B39-B37-B34-B32

And that's all. I hope you like my tutorial. Have a good summer!

WEDDING SEASON

Hi everyone!! It's Virginia here with my June tutorial for you.

I've not done a completed project yet. I'm still thinking about what to do with my coloured stamp but, the thing is that in Spain, where I live, it is coming into wedding season. For this reason, I've been working on something useful when I colour my wedding stamps, and one of the most difficult things for me is thinking about the backgrounds.

Today I want to give you a new inspiration to your wedding projects.

I've used this sweety Tiddly Ink stamp. I think is the ideal stamp for a wedding project.

The Copic colours I've used are:

Skin: E13-E21-E00-R21

Father's Day

Hi everyone! It's Virginia here, coming up with a new project for you. Today I want to share with you a little piece I've made for a festive day.

In Spain, where I live, Father's Day is celebrated on the 19th of March and for some of us, it is a significant day.

Every year I make a present to my father. Unfortunately, he passed away some years ago but, I still do something special in order to remember him. This year I've made a little paper bag, with a sweet stamp from Tiddly Inks. Inside, it should be a beautiful present.

The tie that the little girl is wearing, reminds me of the way my father used to dress.

Be an angel

Hi everyone!! It's Virginia here showing you a new project for Christmas. In Spain, where I live, it's common to celebrate The Three Wishes Men Eve, a special day when family and friends are given beautiful presents.

When I was younger, my father taught me that the packaging should always be made with as much love as the one I put on the gift inside so, year by year,  I'm used to doing beautiful boxes to wrap my presents to family and friends.

Today I'm showing you one of the altered boxes I've done for this special celebration. It's made with gesso, stencils, inks and different embellishments. The stamp I've used is an angel, from Saturated Cannary. I miss this designer a lot. I do love her stamps and I have some of them.

Colouring a Galaxy

Hi everyone!! Virginia here from Spain. This is my first post to Copic Marker Europe and I have to say that it's really exciting for me.

In order to introduce myself,  I would like to mention that I'm a Star Wars Geek! I was a child when my aunt took me to the cinema to see the Star Wars premiere. Princess Leia was, and still she is, my heroine. At that time, women were princesses, not warriors, and Leia was the first one. So I've decided to do my first post with her.

Today I'm going to show you how I'm used to colouring a galaxy background. I know there are many tutorials on the Internet but this is my way. I hope this tutorial encourages you to try it.  I've used a digital stamp made specially for this tutorial by El Rincón de Seter.

Here you have a little step by step video tutorial:

The Copic colours I've used:

Galaxy: B39-B37-B34-BV34-B01-R81
Hair: E35-E57-E47
Skin: E11-E21-E00-R20
Dress and shoes: E43-E42-E41-E40
Weapon: N8-N6-N4

Stars are done with Uniball white pencil.

And this is the finished project.

That's all. I hope you like my project. See you next month with a new one.
Bye!!
