FEW DAYS LEFT TO HALLOWEEN

Hi everyone! It's Virginia here. Today I want to show you how to colour a Halloween background for an easy project. You still have time to try it!

I've only used cardstock, acetate, ribbons, doilies and, obviosly, a beautiful stamp from Some Odd  Girl coloured with my Copic Markers.

I've also added funny polymer clay embelishments and embossed die-cuts.

The Copic colours I've used are:

Skin: V24-V22-V20-C1-C00
Dress: N9-N7-N6-N5-N4
Hair: N9-N7-N6-N5-N4
Sky: B99-B95-B93-BV11-BV0000
Moon: C3-C01-C00-Blender
Trees and grass: N9-N7-N6

Here you have my video tutorial. I hope you like it.

I'd be really happy to see your projects in our Facebook Group.

See you soon.

Bye!

jump straight back in

I have made an art journalpage and all the images on this page are coloured with Copic Markers.
The following photographs will show you how and which colours I have been using.

I always start with a cool beige, E50, as my 1st layer. Add some shadow with the BV00. To make the skin a bit warmer I add E00 and blend all the layers together with the E0000.

For this funny man I use the same colours, E50, BV00, E00 and E0000.

Her hair will be a bright yellow-orange. Start a layer of Y32. Add some Y35 and use Y38 for the deepest shadow. Blend all layers together with the Y32.

In the end I decided to add the YR04  as well, to make the hair a little more orange.
For the lips and her cheeks I use RV 21, 23 en 25.

Her dress and eyes will be blue. I start with the B99. Add some B97 and B95. Blend the layers together with B93.
Sometimes I start with the lightest colours first, but I also might start using the darkest one first. I can't explain why...silly isn't it. It's actually what you like best.

Use for the dots on the dress the Y38 and the YR04.
For her fisheye :-) I used Y38, YR04, RV25, RV29, YG11, YG15 and YG17.

More fisheyes to colour here. This time I use  the Y35, Y38 and the YR04.
For his hat use the  Ik  YR11 and the YR 13.

I coloured his pants blue with B93, B95, B97 and B99.

For his bow tie I use the RV 25 and the RV 29.

Inspired by real life!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a very special card, inspired by real life! People who know me a little know how much I love my baby beagles and I am extremely lucky to have had an image made by the fabulous Christy at Tiddly Inks, based on my second baby beagle who arrived home last month :) So I couldn't resist using this Baby Beagle by Tiddly Inks today!

I printed my image and die cut it with an MFT circle die, to then focus on the colouring.

I coloured the sky first, using B00 and B02. I added a cloud in BV20, C0 and C1 to avoid having a completely flat sky.

I then coloured my beagle with E30, 31, 34, 44 and 47 for the browns. I added shadows to the white colouring them in W00 first to see where I would place them and then W0, 1, 3.

Next I coloured the grass with my usual combo of G28, YG01, 03, 17 and 67.

So all the Copics I used are:
Sky: B00, 02
Grass: G28, YG01, 03, 17, 67
Beagle Puppy: E30, 31, 34, 44, 47, W00, 0, 1, 3

Now to add more depth, I added a few details to my image: birds in the sky with a Copic Multiliner, a bit of blue Distress Ink aroung the edges of my scene and I used Posca and gel pens to add blades of grass and dots for flowers.

I then mounted my image on another MFT die cut and on a piece of BoBunny DP. The sentiment was done using Make it Crafty Alpha Chipboard painted in white acrylic.

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx

A circle of light

Hi Copic Lovers!!

Cicci here today posting.
I'm going to show you how I did this circle of light.
I have colored an image from
 Christine Karron
called Water Lily Fairy

Copic Markers I have used:
For the Circle:
BV00 Y11 RV63 Y21 R43 V09 V06 Y02 YR31 BV02 BG02
Hair: Y02  08 06 BV00 02 R43 Y08 R12 RV04
Flower: R12 RV95 Y02 RR22 R21 R43 Y08
Leaves: BG11 13 78 72 G28
Eyes: Y02 BG09 11 BG000 B01 Y21
Background: BV000 02 Y02  Y21 Y08 06
I also added White Dots with a Posca pen

Step 1
I started to colour a little of the skin parts
with E71 and blend with  E70
I drew a circle with a pencil so I can
easily see where to colour with Copic Markers,
so I don't put too much on her face at this point

Step 2
Now I use bright Copic Markers and
then deleted the lines I drew before with a pencil

Step 3
I add some Y11
I just follow the circle I did with the BV00
I'm going to follow the circle with all the colouring

Step 4
Add RV63 over the Y21

Step 5
I add more Y11 and also I add R43

Step 6
I add a dark Marker V09
be careful you don't add too much of this dark marker

Step 7
I add V06  in the middle and also blend out V09 with V06

Step 8
Now add Y02
In the middle and on the right  and left side

Step 9
Now I blend all over the circle with YR31

Step 10
Here I add BV00  and BV02 on the both sides of the circle

Step 11
 Add RV66
I also have coloured the flower with  RV66

Step 12
Blend with RV63

Step 13
Add BV02 and blend with BV00

Step 14
Blend all over the circle and flower with Y21

Step 15
I have blended with Y02, again all over the circle.
I also add Y02 and BV00 in a few parts of the hair
Also I added Y02 over the eyes.

Step 16
The last marker I add in the Circle is BG02  on one side of the circle,.
I blend out BG02 with BV02 and blend out BV02 with BV000
and more of R43 on the other side

Have a wonderful day and hope to see you here again soon

A special Autumn Fairy card with a surprise!

Hello dear Copic friends,

First of all... thank you for all your visits and kind comments
on my post last month ( DIY color wheel book here ).
I feel honoured.

But enough , now I will talk about my new creation.

Autumn. I love the warm colours of this season!
So today I have prepared a special Autumn fairy card.

I have started to print out this cutie,
a digi from the Greeting Farm,
onto Perfect Colouring Paper.

I have gathered some of my lovely Copic
which according to me were perfect to colour an Autumn card.
Please find the complete list below.

Besides the digi
the die cuts have got some Copic ink colour too.

I prefer to use white colour stock for my small die cuts
instead of cutting all small pieces out of all different types of coloured cardstock.

We have enough Copic markers to create some fantastic embellishments I would say!

Before colouring they looked like this…..a little boring right?

Please watch the little colouring video below to see
what happened to these white die cuts.

Did you like the surprise?
I thought it was a fun effect !

The text stamp is in Italian but it means:
I wish you to find love, happiness and … a bit of magic!

Winter Background

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a card on which I coloured a winter background.
The image I used is Oddball Snowman from Stamping Bella.

First I added some shading to the snowman with BV01, N1 and 0

Tree: G24, YG06, YG03

Carrot: YR12, YR16, YR18

Arms and tree: E31, E33, E35

Hat and gloves: N3, N5, N7

Bell: Y13, Y17

Hat and scarf: R43, R24, R46

On the background:
Colours:  B23, B24, B26, B32, BV02

First I marked where I wanted to start the background, using N1

Taking the B32 I used a flicking motion to add colour upwards, starting from where I marked it with the N1.

Next I added B23, upwards from the N1 and downwards from the top of the paper.

I applied some BV02

In turn, each time using a darker colour,
I kept adding more depth until I was happy with the shading, also adding some BV02

Using N1, N3 and 0 I shaded the ground.

Cut the image down to size, mat it, and pop on the front of a card base.

You can also add snow by applying some white gel pen, if desired.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
