Copic Refills on Yupo...

Hello everyone,

It's Sue here today to show you a really fun Copic technique with Copic Refills on Yupo paper.

The items I have used for this technique are -
a sheet of Yupo paper, Copic Refills 0 Colourless Blender, Y38 and RV55, a small ball tool and a straw.
First I randomly squeezed some colourless blender over the Yupo paper.
Then I added a few pools of Y38...
...followed quickly by some patches of RV55
Then I added some more drops of Colourless Blender...
...and quickly blew the blender and the ink over the paper.
I repeated this a couple of times until the ink had spread and I had an effect I was happy with.
Then I put some drops of Y38, Colourless Blender and RV55 into an ink palette...
...and using the small ball tool I picked up a dot of YR38 and placed the ball tool on the inky design.  You will see that the inks work together and a circle develops with a pale inside and a dark outline.
I repeated this with RV55 and kept applying dots over the inky background until I liked the effect!
This is my final design, I had never tried this before so i was really happy with how it turned out!
I could have just stopped there as this is really pretty!
I decided to make a background for a new stamp by
Stamping Bella - Oddball Sparkle fairy.
Copics -
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E000
Eyes - B02, B000
Hair - E30, E33, E35, RV21, RV23, RV29
Clothes - RV69, RV66, RV63, E08, YR38, YR09
Wings - C7, C4, C2 and Clear Wink of Stella

I had such fun doing this!  It would be great if you could try this too and show us your cards at
Copic Marker Europe on Facebook.

Keecu the Gatekeeper

Hi there Copic loversElena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran with a little step by step colouring for this fabulous image from The Picsees.

I decided to colour it neutral and I used very "natural" colours.

Here in pictures are the different colouring steps:

Skin: E0000,00, 21, 11, 13

To colour the hat:  E47, 44, 43, 42, 40

I coloured the leather with E13, 15, 09, 18

T-shirt and pants YG91, 93, 95, 97

To give the wings a feel of "forest creature" I choose to colour them opaque with a little greenery: BV00, B91, YG91, 93

...and here's a closer look at the digital stamp colouring:
I finished colouring the cheesecloth with BV00 and BV000 and the scarf with: E42, R81, 83

....but why leave this beautiful image on his own?!
I decided to build a little "forest" scene for him in a few simple steps.

Underground colouring: E00, E13
Grass: YG 93, 95, 97
Some pink dots here and there with R81

Some hanging tree branches with YG99, 97, 95, 93

...and here you've got the picture of my finished colouring project:

I hope you found this post inspiring.
Thanks for sticking with me to the end!

Bloom

There are quite a few fabulous dies available for making tiny books. So for today's blogpost I have made you one. The background is made with inks. All the images are by Studio Light and they are coloured with Copic Markers.

In the next few photographs I will show you how I have coloured the images with my Copic Markers.

I start with a layer of BG01. Add BG05 and blend the layers together with FBG2 and BG01. For the darker part I have used BG09 and BG07.

Start with the G14. Add some G17 for shading and blend the layers together with G14 and G17.

For the leaves I used YG11. Add YG13 and YG17. Blend the layers together with YG11 and YG13.

For the cute pink flowers I start with RV21. Add some RV23 and RV25. For the darkest shadows I used RV29. Blend all layers together with RV23 and RV21.

This cute toadstool will be violet. Start with V04. Add V05 and V06.  Because this colour is still too violet for my taste (it doesn't fit the background) I add a thin layer of  FRV1. When gluing down the image I noticed that the colour isn't matching the background. So I decided to add another layer of R32.

The next few photographs will show you all the pages in my tiny booklet and all the used Copic colours.

Used colours:  BG01, 05, 07, 09 and FBG2.

Used colours:  G14, 17, 19 and YG11, 13 and 17.

Used colours:  YG11, 13,17, 21,23 and 25.

Used colours:  Y32, 35, 38, 17 and YR07 and 16.

Used colours:  RV21, 23, 25 and 29.

Used colours:  V04, 05, 06, FRV1 and R32.

Used colours:  V01, BV02, 04 08.

The booklet looks nicier when put together, so I have made a little video to show how it looks now:

Wishing you a creative summer,

Cicci Colouring a background in circles with some bubbles

Hi Friends,
Cicci here posting for Copic Europa.
I was thinking that I'm going to show you how I make a background in lots of circles with some bubbles.

I have used these Copic Markers:
Hair: RV99 69  95 R14 39 56 E04 02
Clothes: RV52 55 Y02 E02 Y26 28 02 21 YR02 RV69
Skin: E50 51 53 04 15 11 RV52 R14
Eyes: Y21 26 28 E47 49 E23 Y02
White Posca Pen for Dots and White Details
For the bubbles I have used Various Ink and Copic Cleaner

Step 1
Start with RV95 and colour in half circles. When you make these circles it's important that you make them fast, it looks much better.
It's not so much about blending at this stage, just add colours that you like
RV95
Y28
FY1
 Y26
In the middle I add V93
Continue with RV95
Add RV34 over the darker colours
 R56
 R59
Now I blend a little all over the dark colours with R14
Not in the area RV95 V93
I want that part light
 Add YR27
The darkest colour I use here is RV99
I want the same colour in the background as I used for her Hair
Add more light colours in the area near the girl
RV91
On the other side of the girl I have added Y21
 Making some bubbles
Take some Various ink on your cotton buds and push them to the paper so you get little circles.
Don't take too much Various ink because if you do you'll end up with a very big circle. It's better to repeat many times instead so you have control over how big you want the bubble
You can see here how I have added the Various Ink
Next step is to fill the bubbles with colours
Here I added some RV52 in the bubble
then RV55 and blend with RV52
I also added some Yellow and E02
Here are the Markers I have used inside the bubbles
You can use other yellows, pinks and orange if you dont have this

At the end I add some white dots with a Posca pen
 Done!!

Have a wonderful day from the Copic Europa Girls!!
Welcome again and feel free to visit anytime :)
