Hallo Copic-Fans,

Today I have a card to show you using a clear stamp that is just perfect for practicing the coloring of hair. This cutie is called Shimmer Bean from The Greeting Farm:

Heute zeige ich euch eine Karte, auf der ich einen Clearstamp verwendet habe, der perfekt ist, um das Kolorieren von Haaren zu üben. Diese Süße heißt Shimmer Bean und ist von The Greeting Farm:

The design of the card isn't what I usually do but since the image had all these doodles going on I decided to make the layout of the card somewhat matching. The black doodles on the white base of the cards were done with a Copic Multiliner classic 0,3mm., they are just perfect for these kinds of doodles, even on an image that still needs to be colored with your Copic Markers. The pretty paper is from Basic Grey and is called Kissing Booth. Here is a close up of the colored image:

Das Design der Karte ist nicht das, was ich sonst mache, aber da das Motiv all diese Kringel hat, habe ich entschieden, das Layout der Karte dem anzupassen. Die schwarzen Kringel auf dem weißen Baiss-Cardstock habe ich mit einem Copic Multiliner Classic 0,3mm gemacht, diese Stifte sind geradezu perfekt für diese Art von Kringeln, selbst auf einem Motiv, das noch mit Copic Markern koloriert werden soll. Das hübsche Papier ist von Basic Grey und heißt Kissing Booth. Hier ist eine Nahaufnahme des kolorierten Motivs:

As always this image was 3D paper pieced for extra dimension. I first colored the hair using the basic blending technique (see THIS tutorial by Barbara) using the YR colors as mentioned below. Next, when the base coloring was dry I added streaks with the E colors as mentioned below.

 Wie immer habe ich das Motiv für extra Tiefe in 3D-Technik zusammengetzt. Ich habe zuerst das Haar mit der Basis-Kolorations-Technik (siehe DIESES Tutorial von Barbara) koloriert und YR-Farben wie unten angegeben dafür verwendet. Nachdem die Basis-Koloration getrocknet war, habe ich mit den unten genannten E-Farben Strähnen hinzugefügt.

Hair/Haare: (first/zuerst) YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21, YR20, (streaks/Strähnen) E27, E25, E23, E21

Coloring on Kraft Tutorial

Hello dear Copic lovers,

hallo Copic  Freunde!

It's me, Kathrin, today sharing a new tutorial with you. It's about coloring on kraft paper.

Hier ist Kathrin mit einem neuen Tutorial für Euch. Es dreht sich übers Colorieren auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock.

There are many different kinds of kraft cardstock out there and if you use something different than I did coloring may work a bit different. I used the kraft cardstock by  Stampin' Up since it really works great for me with Copics.

Es gibt viele verschiedene Arten von kraftfarbenem Cardstock und jedes wird wohl etwas anders auf Farbe reagieren. Ich habe hier den kraftfarbenen Cardstock von Stampin' Up verwendet da ich finde, er ist einfach toll zum Colorieren mit Coipics geeignet.

First I want to share a few general things when coloring on craft:

- for me, coloring from dark to light works better here than coloring from light to dark

- while coloring on kraft cardstock you will never get a result as bright as if you use white cardstock just because Copics are translucent and so you will always see the kraft cardstock behind it but I thinks that's what makes this technique special

- due to the fact that Copics are translucent you will always be able to see the stamped lines of your image - if I color on craft with Prismacolors these sometimes cover the lines of the image

Zuerst möchte ich ein paar generelle Dinge über das Colorieren auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock sagen:

- für mich ist das Colorieren von dunkel nach hell in diesem Fall einfacher als das Colorieren von hell nach dunkel

- beim Colorieren auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock werden die Farben nie so leuchtend werden wie beim Verwenden von weißem Cardstock was daran liegt, dass Copics durchscheinend, also nicht deckend, sind - aber genau das macht diese Technik in meinen Augen speziell

- eben weil Copics durchscheinend sind, wird man die gestempelten Linien immer gut erkennen können; beim Verwenden von Prismacolors passiert es mir manchmal, dass diese die Linien überdecken

So let's get started!

Dann laßt uns also anfangen!

HERE we already had a tutorial about coloring skin on kraft paper so I am just showing which colors I used since each color will look different on the different papers. Best thing is to take a scrap piece of kraft cardstock and try your color on it. 

Also make sure you let the color dry a little since it will look very dark directly after putting the color on but after a few seconds the color dries and looks lighter.

I went with E000, E30, E51, E11 and E13 for the skin and E20 and E22 for the cheeks.

Wir hatten HIER bereits ein Tutorial über das Colorieren von Haut auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock darum zeige ich Euch hier nur, welche Farben ich dafür verwendet habe da auch hier jede Farbe auf den veschiedenen kraftfarbenen Cardstocks unterschiedlich aussieht. Am besten ist es, wenn Ihr Euch ein Reststück des Cardstocks neben Euch legt und die Farbe kurz darauf testet. 

Wenn Ihr die Farbe auftragt, sieht sie im ersten Moment sehr dunkel aus aber nach ein paar Sekunden trocknet sie und Ihr erhaltet den tatsächlichen Farbton.

Ich habe hier E000, E30, E51, E11 und E13 für die Haut und E20 und E22 für die Backen benutzt.

  

I went on with the hair. Here I prefer to start with my 2nd dark color, go on with the darkest and then get lighter with every layer. I started with E25.

Weiter geht es mit den Haaren. Hier ziehe ich es vor, mit der zweit-dunkelsten Farbe zu beginnen, mit der dunkelsten weiterzumachen und dann mit jeder Schicht heller zu werden. Ich habe mit E25 angefangen.

Then I went on with E29 in the darkest areas

Dann habe ich E29 auf die dunkelsten Bereiche aufgetragen

 

I worked from darkes to light areas using E23 last.

Ich habe mich von dunkel nach hell vorgearbeitet indem ich als letztes E23 benutzt habe.

Next things I was coloring were the skirt, the appel and the stripes on the socks. I started with my darkest color R59 here.

Als nächstes habe ich den Rock, den Apfel und die Streifen auf den Socken coloriert. Begonnen habe ich mit der dunkelsten Farbe R59.

Next color I used was R29

Weiter geht es mit R29

then I went on with R27

dann habe ich weitergemacht mit R27

R24 next

anschließend mit R24

and finally I used R21.

und zum Schluß habe ich R21 benutzt.

Following this way of coloring I used B05, B02, B01 and B00 to color the shirt and shoes and the eyes in blue.

Nach dem gleichen Prinzip habe ich mit B05, B02, B01 und B00 das Shirt, die Schuhe,  und die Augen in Blau coloriert.

To color in the leave I used YG09, YG07 and YG03 and I went with C5 and C1 for the areas of the image I wanted to be white.

Um das Blatt am Apfel zu colorieren habe ich YG09, YG07 und YG 03 verwendet und für die Bereiche im Motiv, die ich weiß haben wollte, habe ich C5 und C1 verwendet.

At the end I used E44, E43, E42 and the Colorless Blender to create a shadow around and under the image. I also used some of the Opaque White for the white areas of the eyes and the shoe laces.

Zum Schluß habe ich mit E44, E43, E42 und dem Colorless Blender einen Schatten um das Motiv gemalt und außerdem die weißen Stellen im Auge und die Schuhbänder mit Opaque White betont.

Longing for summer...

Hope you are doing fine.
Ich hoffe, es geht euch allen gut.

Here in Norway we are still waiting for the summer to come. It's so cold outside that I still wear some of my winter clothes!! So this time I decided to make a summer card:)

Hier in Norwegen warten wir noch immer auf die Ankunft des Sommers. Es ist so kalt draußen, dass ich noch immer einige meiner Wintersachen trage! Daher habe ich mich entschlossen, eine Sommerkarte zu machen :).

The card is made on a white paperbag. I love making cards on paperbags, it's so fun.

The beautiful papers are from Maja Design,  an old collection called Crea Diem. I have put some lace and cheesecloth behind the image.

Die Karte ist aus einer weißen Papiertüte gemacht. Ich liebe es, Karten aus Papiertüten zu machen, es macht solchen Spaß.
Die schönen Papiere sind von Maja Design, eine alte Kollection namens "Crea Diem". Ich habe etwas Spitze und etwas Mull hinter dem Motiv eingefügt.

Tilda at the beach

Hello dear Fans,

Hallo liebe Fans,

With the wonderful papers from the paper stack at Autentique - Genuine I made this card. The navy colors from the papers match so good with Tilda from the newest collection at 2012.

Isn't she beautiful, those navy colors are so beautiful with the theme.

Diese Karte habe ich mit den wundervollen Papieren aus dem Papier-Set  Autentique - Genuine. gemacht.  Die maritimen Farben passen so gut zu der Tilda aus der neuesten Kollektion 2012. Ist sie nicht wunderschön, diese Marine-Farben sind so wunderbar zu dem Thema.

The basis of the card is 6x6 inch so the design papers have more space, my cardstock is from bazzil.

The other papers are all from the stack.

I use some bandage gauze and jute. With a creatable die from Marianne Design I made the shells and lighthouse. When the paper is still in the die, I distressed the open pieces for contrast. I use vintage photo, walnut stain and fades jeans.

Die Grundlage dieser Karte ist 6x6, so haben die Designpapiere mehr Platz, mein Cardstock ist von Bazzil. Die anderen Papiere sind alle aus dem Set. 
Ich habe etwas Verbandsmull und Jute verwendet. Mit einer Creatable Stanze von Marianne Design habe ich die Muscheln und den Leuchtturm gemacht. Ich habe die Stanzteile in der Schablone gelassen und mit Stempelfarbe gewischt, dadurch haben sie mehr Kontrast. Ich habe  vintage photo, walnut stain und fades jeans benutzt.

Activator in action !

dieses Tutorial wurde auf dem Copic Benelux Blog veröffentlicht und von unserer talentierten Wenda geschrieben. Sie ist auch ein Profi wenn es ums Haare colorieren geht.

For some time I had the Activator in my house, but never used it, today I will bring it in action. I can tell you it is a fabulous product, the Copic alcohol is in a spray bottle, that sprays an even layer of alcohol. The spray head prevents evaporation.

Ich hatte den Activator nun für einige Zeit zu Hause, habe ihn aber noch nie benutzt. Heute kommt er zum Einsatz. Es ist ein fabelhaftes Produkt. In der Sprühflasche befindet sich Copic Alkohol, der durch die Flasche gleichmäßig aufgetragen wird. Und der besondere Sprühkopf verhindert, dass der Alkohol verfliegt.

I took a digi from Make it Crafty, we will make a wall behind her and in the ice waffle we will bring some structure.  

We need a mask of the digi, you can use masking paper or tape for that, I have used my airbrush to create an even background layer. It is also possible to make the background by colouring with the markers.

Ich habe ein Digi von Make it Crafty benutzt und werde dahinter eine Wand setzen sowie der Eiswaffel etwas Struktur geben.

Für das Motiv benötigt Ihr eine Maskierung. Hierfür könnt Ihr Papier oder Klebeband benutzen. Ich habe mein Airbrush verwendet, um einen gleichmäßigen Hintergrund zu erhalten. Es ist natürlich auch möglich, den Hintergrund mit Markern zu gestalten. 

Place the mask over the image and a piece of paper on the place were the wall will end.  

Spray the wall with your airbrush in E33.

Legt die Maskierung auf das Motiv und einen Streifen Papier auf die Höhe, in der die Wand enden soll. Sprüht die Wand mit Airbrush und E33.

Take a stamp of a wall, this is an older stamp of Magnolia. (It is still available.) 

Spray an even layer of alcohol on your stamp and place directly on the paper,  let it stay for some second. Take the stamp of. 

***

Nehmt dann einen Wand-Stempel. Dieser ist ein älterer Stempel von Magnolia (er ist immer noch erhältlich).

Sprüht eine gleichmäßige Schicht Alkohol auf den Stempel und platziert ihn dann direkt auf dem Papier. Laßt ihn für ein paar Sekunden liegen und nehmt den Stempel dann weg. 

There is a wall now, the Activator pushes the color away, like the blender does.

***

Nun ist eine Wand entstanden. Der Aktivator drückt die Farbe fort, so wie es auch der Blender tut.

Place the paper on the other edge, so you can spray the bottom. 

***

Legt den Papierstreifen nun auf die andere Seite der Linie, so dass Ihr den Boden sprühen könnt.

I thought it needed something extra, therefore I put an other magnolia stamp over it. 

***

Ich dachte, da fehlt noch was und habe darum einen anderen Magnolia Stempel als Boden gestempelt.

If you remove the mask and the paper, you will see this. Now I think the waffle is pretty big, without structure, so we are gone make a structure in it.

***

Wenn Ihr die Maskierung und den Papierstreifen entfernt, werdet Ihr dies sehen. 

Nun finde ich, dass die Waffel ziemlich groß und strukturlos ist. Also geben wir ihr etwas Struktur. 

Colour the waffles in the colours you prefer, I choose E42, 41 en 40. 

Make a mask were you have cutted out the waffles, see the picture above.

Coloriert die Waffel in den Farben, die Euch am besten gefallen. Ich habe E42, E41 und E40 benutzt.

Macht dann eine Maskierung, in der Ihr die Waffel ausgeschnitten habt (siehe Bild oben). 

Place the mask on your digi and a on one of the waffles.

***

Legt die Maskierung über das Motiv und auf eine der Waffeln.

The stamp with the dotted patron seems suitable to me, colour the stamp with E44. Spray some Activator on the coloured stamp and place it on the waffle.

***

Der Stempel mit dem blasenähnlichen Motiv scheint mir für die Waffel zu passen. Ich habe das Motiv mit E44 coloriert. Sprüht dann etwas Activator auf den eingefärbten Stempel und legt ihn auf die Waffel.

The Activator does what  name says, he activates the Copic ink.

Der Activator tut das, was sein Name sagt: er aktiviert die Copic Tinte.

Change the waffles and repeat the procedure. 

***

Tauscht dann die Waffel-Maskierungen aus und wiederholt den letzten Schritt.

This is the image after the operation, now you can colour the lovely girl and her ice cream.

To clean teh stamp, spry it with the Activator and clean it with a towel.

So sieht das Motiv dann aus. Nun könnt Ihr das süße Mädchen und ihr Eis colorieren. 

Um den Stempel zu reinigen, sprüht wieder etwas Activator auf und säubert den Stempel mit einem Tuch. 

Use this technique also on other parts of your images, a dress, a hat or a animal skin. 

Using only the activator it gives you a white impression, using a copic colour you get a coloured lines.

Diese Technik könnt Ihr natürlich auch auf anderen Bereichen Eurer Motive verwenden - einem Kleid, einem Hut oder Haut eines Tieres.

Wenn Ihr nur den Activator verwendet, dann erhaltet Ihr einen weißen Stempelabdruck, mit Copic-Farbe erhaltet Ihr farbige Linien.

It's DeeDee again and I show you a little inspiration with my Copic Markers. Today, it is a tea-light holder. This has been on my to-do-list for a long time and so I gave it a go. I think, it is perfect as little gift. This will not have been my last tea-light holder ;0).

Hier bin ich wieder, DeeDee und zeige euch heute wieder eine kleine Inspiration mit meinen Copic Markern. Heute gibt es von mir einen Teelichthalter. Dieser stand schon lange auf meiner "ToDo-Liste" und so hab ich ihn dann mal in Angriff genommen. Er eignet sich super als ein kleines Geschenk, finde ich. Das wird wohl nicht mein letzter Teelichthalter gewesen sein. ;0)

The image I have chosen is the sweet  Tilda of the Valley from the  Princes & Princesses Collection. The beautiful paper is from MajaDesign. I coloured Tilda matching the paper.

Als Motiv habe ich die süße Tilda of the Valley aus der Princes & Princesses Collection verwendet. Das wunderschöne Papier ist von MajaDesign. Die Tilda habe ich passend zu den Farben des Designpapieres koloriert.

I did not want Tilda to hover in open air, so I painted something to sit on using a Multiliner and Copic Markers.
