Wooden House

Time flies and it´s my turn to appear here at Copic Marker Europe. The summer is almost over here in Swedena and I´m working my way back into the craftroom.

Today I´m showing a CAS-card, a card you can use for someone who has moved to a new home.

I just love to color this way, to make it look like wood. The stamp is a freebie and I´m not sure where I found it. Sorry...

A new home, ready for it´s new tennents :-)

Close up of the little house...

...and bow!

I have use the following markers

Wood W6-5-4 / E49-47-44-43-42-40
Bow T5-BG99-96-93-90
Heart R89-(87)-85

R87 is a marker I have made myself by blending Various Ink R89 and R81 in an empty pen.

This is all from me this time! Have a wonderful day!

Waiting For You

Hi Everyone :)

It's Faye here, with the cutest little bear, he's called Waiting For You, from Funky Kits. Doesn't he just tug at your heart strings?!

I chose this image as I enjoy colouring fur, (remember, no smooth colouring here and lots of layers of colour) but I also like playing around with adding texture to wood. On this occasion, I have used W3 and W5 to the E's I used, to add shadow and some depth to the wood. You could also add some touches of green, if you wanted to make the wood look old and a bit grubby.

I always have a mini battle when I try to colour a balloon... maybe I've got it right at last!

Markers Used...
Fur: E50, E51, E53, E55, W3, W5
Bench; E31, E33, E35, W3, W5
Grass; YG05, YG17, YG67, G99
Balloon; R24, R27, R29, E09

Thanks so much for stopping by today... have a wonderful day.
Faye xx

Tutorial: Colouring wood

Hi everyone!

Today it's me, Deborah, and I have a tutorial for you!
This time I wanted to show you how I colour wood with a little structure.

This is a funny image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I wanted to give that cute little girl a wooden chair to sit on.

The first thing to do, is colouring the entire chair with E31 (the lightest colour for wood)

When you've done the whole chair, you have to flick (tiny little stripes) with your E37 where the darkest parts have to be. Just like you colour hair.

After that, you have to flick with your E35 over the previous flickings for a little blending. Leave enough space between the flicks, you still have to see the E31 peeking through.

Now you need to blend the lines with your E33 marker by flicking again over the previous parts.

Now it's almost ready but we need a little more depth in the wood.
And you can do that with your E59 marker by just flicking where there have to be shadows.
Now the chair really pops.

I hope you had something on this tutorial. If you have questions, please let me know I'll answer them!

Here's my card I've made with this cutie:

Copic colours:
skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, R22, 20
hair: E29, 25, 23, 1
red: R59, 37, 35, 22
blue: N7, B29, 26, 24, 32
green: W7, G28, YG67, 63, 61
yellow: W3, 1, Y17, 15, 11
eyes: YG17, 13, 11

See you next time,

Deborah

Coloring wood

Hello there Copic fans!

It's Keren here, in this Sunday morning, with a new copic creation.

For this project I used the digital image "A little birdie told me".

The girl in the image is leaning over a big wood windowsill,
so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show you how I color wood.

I choose a bunch of browns E40, E42, E44, E47, E35, and start coloring...
With my E40  laid my firs layer, coloring all the wood area.

Than with my E42 I laid some strokes of color over the wood Lines.

And did the same withe my E44,
I also colored the areas I wanted to be darker or for shading.

I made everything even by coloring again with the E40, to combine it all together.

And laid some more strokes of color with E44.

And with E47.

And with E35
If your page getting too wet with ink, let it rest for awhile, before adding more layers.
You can keep adding more layers until you are satisfied with the outcome.
On top of everything I flicked over with my E42.

Here is the complete colored image and my card.

Face: E0000, E000, E00, E21, R20
