Hi there Copic lovers, Elena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran with a little step by step colouring for this fabulous image from The Picsees.

I decided to colour it neutral and I used very "natural" colours.

Here in pictures are the different colouring steps:

Skin: E0000,00, 21, 11, 13

To colour the hat:  E47, 44, 43, 42, 40

I coloured the leather with E13, 15, 09, 18

T-shirt and pants YG91, 93, 95, 97

To give the wings a feel of "forest creature" I choose to colour them opaque with a little greenery: BV00, B91, YG91, 93

...and here's a closer look at the digital stamp colouring:

I finished colouring the cheesecloth with BV00 and BV000 and the scarf with: E42, R81, 83

....but why leave this beautiful image on his own?!

I decided to build a little "forest" scene for him in a few simple steps.

Underground colouring: E00, E13

Grass: YG 93, 95, 97

Some pink dots here and there with R81

Some hanging tree branches with YG99, 97, 95, 93

Building a background

Hi there Copic lovers, Elena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

For my latest DT project I have built a background matching the theme of the stamp I used.

I stamped my rubber Gorjuss Girl stamp (how much do I love rubber stamps?!) in Memento Desert Sand Ink to colour her using the No Lines Colouring Technique. I love to colour this way.

I'm going to show you in pictures how I built this scene.

I take my ruler and draw a central line, which is going to be the center of the perspective.

At an 80 degree angle I draw the angle for the two walls.

Then using the same angle I draw an open door to make my scene more interesting and I draw by hand the decoration for the door.

I draw a chimney, also respecting the 80 degrees angle.

Then I start colouring my stamp, as you can see in the next step pictures:

I love to colour skin in E0000, 00, 21, 11 and 13.This is my super favourite skin combo.

Then I colour in dark blonde her hair using  E57,35 and 31.

Then I took my sepia Multiliner to add details to the eyes, a very few tiny lines in the hair and in the contour of her face. See how different she looks? There is much more depth.

Then I colour her dress using  BG10, 11, 13 and a few tiny touches of BG49.

Now I start coloring my background in a light pink using RV10, R81, 83.

To colour the incoming wall (darkest for the shadow) I draw across the line with the marker and the ruler and then I add straight lines to blend all over.

As it appears she is decorating the room...a little BV11 colouring.

Then I took My R43 to make a patterned wallpaper look.

I colour the door in E43, 42, 41, 40 and the dark shadow of the other room in N5 and 7 (not shown in the picture).

Finaly I coloured the chimney C1, 00 and blender and the inside of it with C7 and C5.

Angel love

Hi there Copic lovers, Elena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

I made my very first art journal page staying out of my "comfort zone", using Copic Refills to make my copic gelliplate printed and foiled background.

Here is the finished project picture, but after that, you've got a few step pictures on how I  made the background and at the end of the post, a few step pictures to see how I coloured the angel.

For the background I used my Copic Refills and a large size gelliplate, inspired by You tube and videos by Diny Sprakel using this ink on gelliplate.

Add a few drops of Copic Refills in different colours on the gelliplate; you have to work quickly because alcohol inks evaporate quite quickly.

I used RV69, 63, R89, 83

Let dry completely your desired design and then add a thin layer of acrylic paint with your brayer; I choose white paint.

Well....nothing new until this step.

...but....why not FOIL your background?????

I found one simple background I love and I printed directly onto my gelli impression background (once the impression was completely DRY) with my laser printer:

....and finally I foiled it using my laminating machine and rose gold foil to match the colours of my background.

I´m being surprised when I discover the biggest and darkest Copic refill drops got foiled when blended with the ink from the hot of the machine as you can see in the detailed picture of the stamp at the top of this post.

I masked the stamp to bring some wings to my angel stamp using post-it or any adhesive paper sheet:

Then I colour my stamp as you can see in the next step pictures:

Love to colour skin in E0000, 00, 21, 11 and 13.

Then I colour in brown-reddish her hair using  E18,17,15 and 13.

For the feather dress I choose to colour slightly pink so I started colouring the darkest areas with a medium warm grey in W4.

As you can see the marker dropped ink into my dress but there is nothing impossible to fix so I decided to continue this time to see if I can fix it.

I added a few touches of R83 to the feathers.

I went back to greys and using W5 I coloured again the darkest zones to get more depth on the dress.

 A few touches with R83 to blend greys a little.

  A few touches with R81 to expand a bit of pink colour to the end of each feather.

Finally blending with W1.

Repeat steps until you are satisfied with the result. The ink drop on the dress is now almost invisible.

I decided give to the wings of the angel a light colour to make them appear translucent using 

BG000, BV00 and BV11.

Finally, I fussy cut the image to emphasize her on my project.

I added some die cuts, some stamping, I make the faux stitching using a Copic multiliner....and It´s done.

The list of markers I've used to colour the image:

Skin: E0000, 00, 21, 11, 13

Hair: E18, 17, 15, 13

Dress: W5,3,1 R83, 81

Wings: BG000, BV00 and BV11

Stronger´s rules

Hi there Copic lovers, Elena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

I made a shaker card staying out of my "comfort zone". I made a marble style sea background, using Copic Refills.

Here is the finished project picture, but after that, you've got step by step pictures on how I  made the background and at the end of the post, a few step pictures to see how I coloured the fish.

For the background I used my Copic refills.

Starting my background with: B000, BG72, BG53.

Then I added an activator sprayed as the alcohol ink dries so fast.

Time to cover more of the desired area by adding more drops of BG10 and B93 here and there.

More light covering with B000 and a bit more activator to get the ink to run.

I splatted some gold pigment on the entire background to add more interest.

To finish I took my Multiliner and Copic Opaque White to add some random contrast between different ink marbles. I saw a similar design on Instagram and I found it very interesting so I went for it. Now my background is done.

To make my shaker I stamped my sea life design on acetate with Stazon black ink.

I coloured the fish a little, as they are the focus on the design. Be sure you colour on the reverse of the stamping - Stazon is not compatible with Copics.

 On acetate you can't blend like on colouring paper, but this colouring is only to make the fish pop a little.

Still on the reverse of the stamping, I painted in Opaque White, the water bubbles to finish with this acetate window.

I coloured all the fish in the same way so I'm going to show you in steps how I coloured one of them.
Starting deepest colour with RV66.

Blend with medium tone RV55.

 Covering lightest areas with RV32.

Repeat these three steps again to add more depth.

 Covering spots with V09.

I coloured the fish tails in green. My first choice was violet but I thought this would be too dark, so I swapped to green, starting with lightest YG21.

 Medium tone YG23.

Some touches of G94 on the deepest areas of tails.

Don´t forget to repeat these steps again to blend colouring well.
