Cockatoo Biker

 Hello!

I can't believe it's July already. Summer time means more motorcycle time for my husband and me. For this month's blogpost I was inspired by that and used a Paper Shelter digi stamp to color. The bike itself is even inspired by my own, which is aqua with black.

For the tires and seat I used T10, T8 and T6.

The leather jacket, shades and foot rest are colored with N10, N8, N6 and N4.

More greys.. for the beak and chrome I used the cool greys C6, C5, C4, C3, C1, C0 and C00.

A pop of color with BG09, BG13, BG32 and BG11.

For the yellows I used Y17, Y15, Y13 and Y11.

The cockatoo itself is a light shade of yellow and the foot is yellow as well, even though it should be grey.. I didn't want even more grey, so I used Y08, Y13, Y11, Y00 and Y000.

I wanted to create the illusion of him riding through the desert so I used E57, E33, E31 and E30 to make it a bit sandy. And finally some B000 to finish it all.

I hope you like it and maybe it inspires you to color your own cute image.
Have a great day!

Bumble Bee

Hi all!

Today I want to show you how I created this bumble bee.
I drew this bee with a reference picture from pixabay.

First I drew a sketch to see where everything is supposed to be.

I colored the eye with C9, B24, B21 and C1

The head is colored with W10 and W9

The yellow parts of the body are colored with YR27, Y38, Y35 and Y17

For the wings I used W7, E23, C1 and 0

The dark parts of the body are colored with W10, E49, W7, B24 and the little legs with W10, E49, W7 and B24.

RV69, RV66, RV55 and RV63 are used for the flower.

And the green part of the flower is created with G29, G28, G07 and G24.

Thank you for visiting!

Rose

Hi there!

Today I want to show you my first attempt at a realistic rose. I downloaded the reference picture from Unsplash, I transferred the outlines with Saral transfer paper.

Then I used these colors for the entire flower: 100, E49, R89, R37, R27, R24, R22.

I will show you the progression pics. I just took it petal by petal.

I also created a bit of a background, to make the rose 'pop' a little more. For this I used G29, G28, G07 and G24.

I think it turned out quite well for a first try! Hopefully I have inspired you to try something like this as well.

Have a great day!

Viking Princess

Hello!

Today I want to show you a digital stamp by the Paper Shelter that I colored. I had a lot of fun coloring this one as I tried 2 new (new to me anyway) techniques: patina (on the helmet) and leopard print fur.

Let me show you my step by step for this one.

I always use E00, E21, E11 and E04 for skin. Starting with the darkest color and I color 2 layers. For the second layer I don't use E04, only E11, E21 and E00.

Some rosy cheeks and pink lips are created with E30, E32 and E35.

Since it's a fantasy image, I thought I would do some violet eyes. I used V01, BV02 and BV13 for this.

I love to create purple hair and this color combination is my favorite to use V09, V17, V15 and V12.

I really wanted to try rust/patina because I love the color combination. I must say, I like the way it turned out.

Some wooden parts with E59, E57, E55.

I wanted the sword to look more like a sort of home made metal item rather than real, so I used some darker greys than I would do for a more real effect. T6, T4 and T2

Some gold colored details for our little princess with Y28, Y26 and Y23. Make sure you go completely over the Y28 with your Y26 for this.

I used E55, E53, E51 and E50 to color the horns on the helmet.

Another thing I wanted to try was leopard print fur. I used E55 and E53 for the base color and W10 with E35 for the spots. This also worked out the way I wanted it.

The little dress had to match, yet be simple, so I just used some natural light tones E33, E31, E30.

Some popping accessories with BG49, BG13 and BG23.

Some trendy furry boots with E49, E59, E57, E55.

A cute little green dragon with G29, YG67  G24, G21 and for the belly YG03, YG21 and YG00.

Some purple details to match his friend, I used the same colors.

R17, YR09, YR07, YR04, Y17, Y15 for the flames and N4, N2, N0 for the smoke.

A little background to make it al pop N5, N4, N2 for the ground and B01, B00, B000 for the 'sky'.

I hope you all like this one as much as I do.
Have fun coloring!

See you next time.

You're Cool

Hi all!

For this month's blogpost I decided to bring a little bit of summer to my grey, wet and windy reality. I used a Sugar Pea designs stamp that I hadn't yet used. It's so cute! Background paper is some older Stampin' Up paper.

I recently weighed my copics and found out I needed waaay too many refills. I ordered some for the ones I use most and lucky me, a friend of mine gave me a box of Copic Ciao she didn't use, so I can substitute some for now. That is why you'll see them mixed in the pictures.

N10, N8, N6 and N4 make the black parts of the cute penguin.

Some shading in the white parts is created with the warmer greys; W3, W2 and W0.

A warmer shade of yellow for the feet and beak: YR27, Y38, Y35 and Y32.

The tube has a large highlight part where I actually left a part uncolored. The colored parts are made with BG49, BG13 and BG11.

The swimming trunks are colored with RV29, RV25, RV23 and RV21.

To 'ground' him, I created some shade with C5, C4, C3 and C1.

I hope you'll find this post useful and it will inspire your next creation.
Have a great day!

Arizona Desert Scene

Hello everyone!

My name is Annemarie and I am honored to be part of this amazing team now. You can also follow me on instagram: @am_customdesign_fineart

I hope to inspire everyone with my projects.

I decided to make my own scene for this card. These mountains were created with E11, E13 and E15. I used the lightest color first to create the shapes and then I added the shades and worked from dark to light.

Of course I needed some cacti. I used YG67, G29 and YG63 for these.

Some rocks were next with E57, E55, E53.

The sandy ground was created with E27, E25 and E23.

I had to add some water because one of the stamps I wanted to use is a little boat.
E25, E23, E21 and E51 made the river bank and BG32, BG11 and G40 the water.

Y17, Y18, Y15, Y13 and Y04 created the sun and YR04, YR15, Y38, Y35 and Y21 were used for the sunset sky.

One last cactus in front of the sun with G94.

My background is complete now.

I used a Sugar Pea Designs stamps. The base of the teepee is kept neutral with E53, E51 and E50.

The bright colors are: V17, V15, V12, next color R39, R24, R22, then G07, YG17, YG25, then Y17, Y18, Y06 and last BG57, BG13 and BG11.

The cute little raccoons are colored with W9, W7, W5, W4, W2, W1 and the rosy cheeks and ears are R22 and R21.

The colors of the headdress are Y17, Y15 and Y06, V17, V15 and V12 and the feather BG57, BG13 and BG32.

The canoe is met neutral with E55, E53, E51 and E50.

For some details I used a white gel pen.
I hope you like my first project, let me know if you have any questions.

Until next time, have a great day!
