Make a wish!

Hello from Italy again, copic-lovers!

Franz here with all of you to share another copic creation.

I love Mo's images very much, i think they are just adorable and funny, so i went with one of them this time and i chosen this lovely girl blowing dandelion clock.

I used my favourite colour combo again on her hair trying to get separated the single strands.

Her t-shirt is white, but i added some shadows with my cool greys: C0-C1 and C3 to give it more dimensionality.

Papers are from My Mind's Eye and Maya Design, sentiments from Stempelglede, love them so much!

I added a little Magnolia Tea Tag and i printed on it only the word "Dreams" from a Stempelglede rubber stamp:

Next week it 's Valentine's Day

Hello,

normaly I am not so into Valentine,
but these lovely Magnolia stamps forced me to make a Valentine's card.
I made this one for somebody I am very fond of.......

I found a tutorial about this "swing card" on the blog of Norma
You can find it here

So cute to make and you can place 2 images and some texts on the panels.

This card is difficult to catch on the picture. This is the opened look.

I have used cartdstock from my (large) stock.
the flowers are made with a die of Crealies. The swirls are made with a Vintage Border die of Joycraft/Noor-design. The deigner, my friend Joland made on special request the border ends mirrored, I am glad she is some one who listens to us crafters.

on the central panel, there is place for some sweet words

I used these Copic Markers
Skin  E000-00-21-11-R21
Hair E40-42-44
Cloths:
W0-1-3-5
BG000-10-13
Red: R43-46-59
GreyC1-3-5

I hope you appreciate this card

Special Baby Card

 Hello, dear Copic fans,
today it is me, Barbara/Kreativmonster, for you and I want to show you a special card I made for the parents of a newborn child. The young father is a big fan of rock music, so I thought that this image is just perfect for the birth of their son.

The image is "Biker Babe", a digital from Mo Manning and I really like it very much.
Of course, you can not make a card with traditional baby-boy-colours when you use this kind of image, so I choose papers from WeRMemoryKeepers that look like a t-shirt and a lumberjackshirt.
To make the babe's jeans look used I worked on it with the Colorless Blender.

Here is a close-up of the coloured image:

As always with my baby-cards, the inside is decorated, too:

Because there are several baby bottles in the image, I added a little baby bottle charm. The ribbon is very thick, so I had to fasten the bottle with a piece of  unwaxed silk floss I had coloured with B79.

These are the Copics I used:
Skin: E50, E51, E53, E02
Tattoo: R20
Shirt: T1, T2
Jeans: B39, B79, Colorless Blender
Baby bottles: T1, T2
Teat: E97
Sunglasses: E97, E33, E35, E37
Shadow: T2, T3, T4
Shadow around image: B0000

I hope, the young couple likes the card and you do so, too!
Big Hugs

Coloring wood

Hello there Copic fans!

It's Keren here, in this Sunday morning, with a new copic creation.

For this project I used the digital image "A little birdie told me".

The girl in the image is leaning over a big wood windowsill,
so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show you how I color wood.

I choose a bunch of browns E40, E42, E44, E47, E35, and start coloring...
With my E40  laid my firs layer, coloring all the wood area.

Than with my E42 I laid some strokes of color over the wood Lines.

And did the same withe my E44,
I also colored the areas I wanted to be darker or for shading.

I made everything even by coloring again with the E40, to combine it all together.

And laid some more strokes of color with E44.

And with E47.

And with E35
If your page getting too wet with ink, let it rest for awhile, before adding more layers.
You can keep adding more layers until you are satisfied with the outcome.
On top of everything I flicked over with my E42.

Here is the complete colored image and my card.

Copic's:
Face: E0000, E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: Y21, 23, Y26, Y28

Background: BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78

Pennant Card...

Hello there everyone!

Ã…sa from a snowy Sweden here today.
I really like pennants, in all shapes, so today Im going to show you a card in the shape of one.

I´ve used red and white dotted papers from Jillibean Soup together with kraft and white cardstock.

I´ve used my Spellbinders to cut out the shapes around the image.

The image is a stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps.

I´ve colored her with the following copics:

Skin: E21-11-00-000-R20-11
Hair: E18-15-13-21-33
Leafs: G21-BG96-BG99
Flower: R59-37-35-29-W5

When I color skin I always color from dark to light, and then end with the cheeks.
When I color hair I usually do the opposit, I color from light to dark.
This makes more contrast in the hair, and I like that.

Have a wonderful Weekend!

Hugs, Ã…sa

Casting Down

Hello copic-fans!

Franz from Italy again to share another of my projects.

I wanted to use a "Craft and Me" image for a long time and finally I chose this one for today's post, she's called "Casting down".
I think she's so romantic and charming, love her dress and all those hearts blown away, I'm a romantic girl, what can I do?!!

Her hair is coloured up with my usual and favourite brown colour combo: E21-E25-E29-E49.
I was inspired to use BV copics for her dress, tried to give dimensionality to it, using the darkest tones on the parts that I think are behind her legs (I mean the back of her skirt).
To achieve this I finally added little touches of black too; I love using it sometimes, but have to be very carefull not to spoil the result at the end!

This is a close up of the image, I used BG and BV colours on her wings; they are transparent, so I mixed colours from the different families on some parts, where they overlap:

I’ve used papers from “Pion Design" design this time, lot of flowers and some fab little swirls from Prima, I love them!

This is my card recipe:

Sweet Pea Digi Stamp

Hello Copics fans how are you all? Vicky here today with my first post of 2013.
Today I have used a Sweet Pea digital image by Karen Middleton. Now my most favourite things to colour are faces/skin & hair..........I can totally relax when colouring hair its the one things that never stresses me out. I love Sweet Pea images but its been sooooooooo long since I have coloured one, so here is a beautiful lady for you............
This is 'Tara', isn't she so pretty. I kept the papers light as I wanted the image to be main focus.

I coloured her in the same colours the artist did but I didnt do her hair as light.
Colours I used are...........
Face - E13, E21, E00, E000, E0000 & R20 for the cheeks & R85 for the lips.
Hair - C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C0
Leaves - YG97, YG93, YG91 & used the blender to lighten in places
The background I used G000 & the blender pen again to make it faded in places.
I then added White Liquid Pearls to the berries.
She was then matted onto a Spellbinder die-cut in grey card which I also dabbed with white Gesso.

I have used Pion Papers, I love these papers, lovely lace, scalloped pearls & some gorgeous flowers on top of some Memory Box die-cuts. I kept the flowers in neutral tones again to let the image shine out.

This card seemed to flow together so nicely & the image I really enjoyed colouring. If like me you love hair & faces then Karen Middleton & Hannah Lynn do wonderful images for this kind of colouring. They are fabulous if you want to practice hair colouring as well as skin colouring & shading.

Thank you for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
