Spring and Love are in the Air!

Hello everyone! Delphine here today to share a scene, this time with no snow in sight - spring and love are in the air! Here is the scene I made using two digis by Make It Crafty.

I have used a pre-made scene called In The Park and only had to sit my character there - Tress Winking. I added a sentiment by CC Designs from the Adoring You stamp set and coloured everything in Copics. And for my black hair, I used my W Copics instead of my usual Cs for a change, which gives hair a more brownish tone which I like.

Copics used:
BACKGROUND: Sky and clouds: B000, BV20, C0, 1, Blender
Tree: E31, 35, 39, 59, G28, YG03, 17, 67
Bushes: YG01, 17, 25, 67, 99
Ground: E40, 41, 42, 43, 44
Bench: E31, 35, 39, 84, 87

TRESS: Skin: E0000, 000, 02, 11, 23
Hair: W3, 5, 7, 9
Top: R35, 37, 39, 89, R83, 85
Trousers: C00, 0, 1, 3, Y26
Jewellery: Y11, 26

That's all from me today! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great Sunday!

Bookmark

Hi there copic friends!

Åsa here today with some new inspiration.

This time I have made a bookmark for myself.
I have started a lot of books again, and I didn´t have any bookmark.
So - it was time to make one, don´t you think!?

I have colored on kraft, I think it gives a nice and smooth effect.
Remember to be a little careful with the darker colors when you are coloring on kraft/cardstock, cause it tend to get easily outside your lines....

The image is from Saturated Canary and I have used the following colors:

Skin: E11-21-00-000-R20-11
Hair: E57-55-53
Shirt: RV95-93-91
Skirt: N8-6-4
Books: E35-33-31 / E74-71 / E43-42
Cup: RV93-91 / BV25

Hope your having a wonderful start on the new year!

fairy friend tag

Happy day everyone!
This is Kathrin here today sharing a Copic Creation with you.

I know, there are parts of this world that have plenty of snow at the moment - or at least had some during december. Well, here in Germany we only had one single day of snow so far and so I refuse to make snow cards but went ahead and made something spring inspired today: a fairy friend tag.

I love the soft colors of spring... And this image by Sugar Nellie was screaming spring to me as well. The little fairy with her snail friend are just too cute!

I colored in the fairy with my Copic markers. Then I used a liquid glue pen on the lines of the wings and covered these with glitter. This gives the perfect shine on the wings but is not covering them completly and you can still see the coloring.

I added some white die cuts to the tag and to make the strong pattern not to take all the attention from the image I added a layer of vellum to the lower part of the tag.
I also used some glitter on the grass to add a bit more bling to the tag.

These are the markers I went with for coloring:

Skin:
E13, E11, E51, E30, E000
Cheaks: R20, R32
Pink: R85, R83, R81
White dress: C2, C0, C00
Hair: E99, Y21, YR30
Wings: B00, B000, B0000

So, have a happy day everyone - and yes, I am still hoping for snow here! LOL

Iris

Hello dear all Copic friends,
it’s Cinzia here  today  wishing you  a  very happy and wealthy New Year 2014 and just  sharing with you in this  beginning of the year another card  I made for Copic Marker Europe blog.
For my card I chose one of the two last images drawn by Sylvia Zet called “Iris”, as usual very very  cute and sweet, so when I saw it I couldn’t resist to ink it up for a card that, for the flowers and the shape, is nearer the spring than the winter .
It’s a bit early??  J

The  image is a digi from Sylvia Zet called “Iris”,  the papers are Maya Design from the last "Vintage Autumn Basics" Collection, ,the sentiment is by Stempelglede,  , the dies are by Spellbinder, Cheery Lynn Nesting Dies “Oval" L-12 and XL-12, Joy! Craft Cutting and Embossing corner die.

Here is a close up of the colored image:

Tha card closed:

And  a close up of the cold embossed corner die, I usually colored it with a metallic rub-on wax, but this time I haven’t got the right colour, so I coloured it with copic  YG 91 the same of Iris wings and dress:

Copic  Markers:
Skin: E0000, R000, R00, E11, R20
Hair:  E21, E25, E29, E50
Dress and wings :  RV52, RV55, RV66, RV69, YG91, YG93 YG95, YG0000
Flowers: RV52, RV55, RV66, RV69

Do hope you enjoy my card!
Thank you very much for your visit and for your lovely comments.
Enjoy the rest of the week

Hugs,

Tutorial - Colouring Brickwork

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all enjoyed your Christmas and are ready to get back into crafting.  I thought I would share with you how I colour brickwork.  The bricks from where I live have quite a lot of red in them, so I have chosen E09, E19, E13, E55, E53.

I'm starting with E09 and have added a little at each end of the brick.

I next lay down some E13

Then E55

And lastly E53

I return to where I started but this time I have decided to add in some E19

Blend out with E13 towards the middle starting at each end.  The middle of the brick will be the lightest

Finally blend out with E53

This process needs to be repeated for each brick. I know this is time consuming but it will give the most realistic result.

Here's all the bricks coloured.  You can go in and add further shading where you want

I went in to colour the cement with W5 and added some touches to the bricks, can you see the difference by just added a touch of W5.

Finally here's a finished card.  The image is called Christmas Eve by Make It Crafty, he's certainly a cheeky Santa and was perfect for the male recipient.  The papers are from the Maya Design Frost Basics 6x6 paper pad.

Happy New Year Everyone.

Hugs Tracy x
