You're Wonderful

Hello! Good Morning!
I'm Cristina Valenzuela and this is my card for Copic Europe.

I love Japanese typical images, especially of Geishas.
This time I did not want to use lilac colors, they are my comfort zone.

This digital stamp is from Digistampatelier, called "my butterfly".
I have a great time working with realistic images.

Copic colours I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E01.
Cheeks: R30.
Eyes: E23, E13.
Lips: R30, R35.
Hair: N1, N3, N5, N7.
Butterfly: RV91, RV95, E70.
Kimono: E40, E70, E71, E74.
Pattern of kimono: YR24, YR21, YG91, YG93.
Obi: YR24, YR21, YR20.
Lotus flower: E40, R30, E00.

I hope you liked it!
If you are on holiday, enjoy a lot! Hugs.

Tutorial: Monochrome Colouring

Hello, dear Coipc Fans,
today, it's Barbara/Kreativmonster here for you with a little tutorial about monochrome colouring.
No I did not alter my image the way some people do, just technically, I wanted to create a monochrome image by using only one brown colour family.
For me, those monochrome images that look like yellowed old photos have something nostalgic and that was the kind of card I wanted to make.

This is what I started with:
I decided to use several designpapers form the collection "Vintage Winter" from Maja Design and the sweet Victorian girl from Lily of the Valley. With the help of  my colourchart I chose the E4ies, they match the paper.

First, I stamped the image on Perfect Colouring Paper using Memento "Rich Cacoa" and added a complete layer of E40 to the whole image:

Then I marked the first  structure with E41 and E42 and
used E44, E47 and E49 on hair and shoes.

I started to define which part of her outfit shall have which colour.

After that I started to work out shades and folds deeper.

As those old pictures do not have much contrast, but a somewhat softer look, I did not work out the deepest shadows too hard and have not used any other colour then E4ies.

When I was content with my colouring, I stamped the image onto a piece of masking paper, cut it out and covered the coloured image with.

Then I sprayed E41 and E42 around the image using my Copic Airbrush System. Now the former shiny white Perfect Colourign Paper looks yellow and matches the coloured image.

My next step was to distress the rims of the paper with the blade of my scissor to give them an old and used look. I pulled the rim over the nib of E42 to stain it just a very controlled bit.

And this is the card I made with this image:

I distressed the rims of the desingpapers, too. For the light snowflakes I used some of the designpaper and added some Memento "Rich Cacoa" to make them look old. The center is the same designpaper I placed the snowflake on:

For the dark snowflakes I used the brown cardstock I used for the card. The center is punched out of designpaper, too:

Copic Markers I used:
E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49

Please excuse the different colours of my photos, but somehow my camera gave me the creeps!

I hope you'll have a fabulous time preparing for Christmas, I'll just be back at my crafting table, making many, many more Christmas cards...

Big Hugs

Tutorial: How to colour vintage

Hello all,

Today it's my (Peggy) turn to show you something !!
I made a tutorial about how to colour vintage with your Copic Markers.
Of course you need your Copics, I'm using R000, R00, E43 and W1. You can create a vintage look with different colours, but I advice you to use very bright colours ... with lots of "0". B000, B00 or V000, V00 is also fine.

Hallo an alle,

First I'm using R000.
At my example the light is coming from the left, so I colour the parts that need to be the darkest at the end:

Zuerst verwende ich mit R000.
In meinem Beispiel kommt das Licht von links, ich beginne mit den Bereichen, die am dunkelsten werden sollen:

Then I take my R00 marker and cover the first layer and a little bit more:

Dann nehme ich meinen R00 Marker, decke die erste Schicht ab und ein bisschen mehr:

Then I'm using W1, to add more depth and colour to the darkest parts:

Dann nehme ich W1, um den dunkelsten Stellen mehr Farbe und Tiefe zu geben:

Take your lightest maker again, for me that's R000 to make everything a little softer:

Nehmt jetzt die hellste Farbe, bei mir ist das R000 um die Übergänge weicher zu machen:

Then I'm using E43 to add some creme touch to it, that's also why I'm using W1 and not one of the C ore N grey markers. The W(warm)grey markers have a little a brownish shade/tint.

Finally I'm using my R000 again to cover the whole image:

Schließlich gehe ich ich mit meinem R000 über das gesamte Bild:

I hope you all liked my tutorial and hope to see lots of vintage cards on your blogs!!
You can find the finished card with this image in a few days on my blog.
