A Sassy Halloween

Hi girls!
Helen here, hoping to inspire you all today to color that Halloween card you might haven´t done yet.
I don´t have a Halloween image, but I got inspired by this image and used orange, purple and green to get the feeling for the holiday. It mustn´t be scary, it can be sweet as well, the feeling comes with the colors.

The image, Sassy, is from Mo Manning and it is stamped on Perfect Coloring Paper with Memento ink.

I started on another paper but I didn´t get the cheeks right, so when I started again, I started with the hair, and of course I forgot to take photos of each step.

For the hair I used: YR21 - E97 - E99 - E18

This time I colored in a different way. I use to start with my lightest shade and cover the whole area, but this time I started with the parts I wanted a red tint on, used R00.

On top of the R00 I went in with E000 and covered all skinparts.

Then I used BV20 for the deepest shadows.

On top of the BV20 I went in with E53.
The purple will end up with a nice contrast to the skincolor and when you wash it with another E-color on top, the blueness tends to disapear, and you end up with a nice deapth in your shades.
Right now the contrast is hard, but I know that when I´m finish I will have a nice shade and not so much contrast.

Blending with E50.

And her lips got R00 - E04

I really don´t like the color purple. So there are very few shades in my stash.
I wanted three shades but as I put down RV95 I realised that I wouldn´t blent it together with V17 for my satisfaction.
So, I have covered the t-shirt with a layer of RV95 and on top of it I went in with V17 and covered that up. For some shades I used V09. The white  piece got some C3 on it.

For her pants I started with YR21.

My darkest tone is YR07 and my midtone is YR14, and some shading with Y26.
The details on the pants has YG61 - YG63.
Shoes: C5 - C7
Socks: W00 - W1 - W3

The grass is: YG11 - YG61 - YG63 - YG67.
And some airdetails; BG70 - BG72.

Colouring a face and hair with The Greeting Farm

 

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today, coming back after a little break :) For today's post, I thought I would show how I colour a face and hair with highlights using a cropped image so you could hopefully see well how I do it. I also aimed at using unusual colours for me - pink, which I think can be a bit difficult. 

For my card I used a digi by The Greeting Farm called Miss Anya Bewitch, here is the final card:

I coloured all my elements in Copics, except for a bit of glitter pen for a few details, and and you can see the whole colouring process below:

You will note that I only used 2 colours for my hair - no need to have a ton of markers - and left white highlights to show the paper, a look some people like. Also, to give more depth, I used a grey marker below the pink as a first layer.

Here is a close up of my colouring and a recap of all the Copics I used:

Skin: BV00, E000, 00, 04, 11, 71
Hair: 100, W7
Pink: R85, RV13, 29 (+W7 for hat)
Gold: E35, Y11, YR23
Purple: V09, 15, 17
Background: RV13, 21

After the video, I stamped a sentiment and doodled dots and splatter with my black Copic marker. I also added gold gel pen around the edges of my image.

Autumn Leaves

 Hi COPIC lovers!! 

Here in Sweden There are beautiful autumn colors everywhere you look when you are outfside.  Its a wonderful season. Today I color a tutorial with magic autumn colors

Step one

Make a sketch with some leaves

Then I color some lines with Y02 

Step 2 

Add more Y02 when you remove  all the lines

Step 3

Step 4

Add and blend with E51

Step 5 

Add E53 then blend with E51 

Step 6 

Here I go over with YR24 E51 E53 Y02 and R27

Step 7

Add R14 and blend with Y02 

Step 8 

Add R21 and blend again Y02

Add Y08

Go over and blend the hoke leave

Step 10 

Add E35 and blend with Y02 

Step 11 

Adde E35 

At the end I adds  dark Brown marker

Tea Time

Hello Copic lovers!

Today I am sharing my colouring of a cute girl with cats,books and a cup of tea . The stamp is called CATS COFFEE AND JOURNALS and it is created by the very tallented Krista Smith. I adore her images.

I'm starting with my skim as usual.My skin color combo is E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20 for the cheeks. I always start with E0000 all over the skin.

I go over my E11 with E21 in order to darken my shadows . Cheeks I color with R20.

For the eyes I used BG01, BG000,B02. Her lips are colored with R00,R20 and R22

I used only 3 colours - E31, E33 and E35 for the hair. I'm starting with the lightest color E31 making long strokes.

The cats are colored withW1, W2,W5 and a touch of E13.

For her bow and her shirt I used R81,R83 and R85.

The skirt is colored with W9,W7,W5 and W2

So there she is, ready to be added to a super cute project. And here is my finished project
