Diny's Squares Technique

Hi everyone,

Today I have a tutorial for you. A few months ago Diny Sprakel developed a new Copic technique. In the Netherlands we call this technique  the " Squares Technique". We get questions from all over the world about this technique  so we thought it would be a good idea to make a tutorial for you. Allthough we call it the Squares Technique, you can use it on any similar shadow stamp. For this tutorial I used the round shadow stamp by Katzelkraft.

What materials do you need?
1. craftsheet
2. rubber shadow stamp
3. acrylic stamping block
4. a few bright colours by Copic
5. glossy paper
6. activator

Apply quite a few drops of Copic ink on your craftsheet...
Use bright colours for this technique like the 7 and 9 of any colour group.

Spray a little bit of the Activator on the Copic drops.

The spray makes the ink temporarily thinner, more fluid because  the spray reactivates the alcohol in the ink.

Place your stamp gently in the ink.

TIP: When the ink on your stamp does not look wet enough, spray a little Activator directly on your stamp, but only when the ink looks dried.

Place your stamp gently on the glossy paper and transfer the ink to the paper.

Remove the stamp and check out the result...doesn't it look wonderful.

So with a few Copic Markers and a silhouette stamp you can create a simple lovely card.

Copic colours used
Left up: YG09 and BG07
Right up: RV95 - B05 and YG07
Left under: BG07 and RV17
Right under: BV08 and BG49

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
