Good Morning and happy Sunday everybody, Copic lovers!
Me again, Franz, with a new Copic colouring project and a little tutorial :)
I've a lovely image from the Crafty Sentiment Designs to share, it's a veeeery sweet one and just perfect for the incoming Christmas!
I love no traditional colours for Christmas and I couldn't resist to the latest papers from Maja Design, so I have a violet-purple Christmas card!
The background and some touches of the dress are made with Prismacolor Pencils

Here is a little step by step to share with you all how I coloured her hair:
The markers you need are: E11, E13, E15, E18, E29
I generally divide the hair in small areas and colour them one at a time.
Start with E13 in the darkest areas making quick light-handed strokes following the shape of the hair; use a quite light colour to define where you want the strokes:
Then use a little darker colour, E15, for the same strokes, but make them just a little shorter:
Now simply continue the same lines with E13 again; narrow only the tips of the darker lines!
Add some new darker strokes with E18:
continue them with E15:
and soften the tips again with E13:
Now add some E11 to the darkest part of the lightest areas (it means near the darkest zone of the hair):
Finally add some E00 to the lightest part of the lightest areas (it genereally means on the centre of the zone that we are colouring):
Make the same with the other side:
Here I also added some touches of E29 on the darkest areas to give some more depth.
same tecnique with the other areas.
I hope this little tutorial can help, the only thing you have to practice is thin lines;
you will need a little bit of patience, but the result will pay you back!
