Queen of Hearts

Hi all! It's already February and we are into the 'love' month with hearts and flowers day coming up quickly, so today I am sharing a card I made featuring Oddball Queen of Hearts by Stamping Bella.

As always, I used E00, E11, E04 for the skin.
I went a little darker than normal for the cheeks - R21.

To colour the hair I decided to go dark to light, so I applied E19 first.

I used E09 and dragged out the E19, blending them together.

For the lightest colour I used E97.
I went back in with each of the darker colours to get more depth

Before I applied any colour to the clothing, I added some C1 and C3 to the clothing that would remain white. It's best to do this before adding any dark colours, such as reds, as you can easily hit off them with the light greys and drag some onto the white space. Red is not easy to remove, even with the colourless blender.

On the front panel of the dress I used the colours Y21, Y23 and Y26.

...and on the crown, Y21 and Y26.

I started with the folds on the dress. As with the hair, I started with my darkest colour - R46

R24 is the middle colour and I dragged out some of the R46

On the lightest areas I used R43.

I repeated these colours on the other side of the dress, and the bodice and sleeves.
I just used R46 and R24 for the hearts on the front panel, the heart in the crown and the heart sceptre.

I used N3, N5 and N7 for the trim on the dress, the lace in the bodice and the sleeves.

To finished off I  'grounded' the image.
I added some shadow beneath her.
First I apply some C3.

I then include some C1

I then blend out the colours with the colourless blender.

and now she is ready to pop on a card. :)

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you are inspired to take out your markers and colour today.
Sandie.
xXx
