Throwing the first snowball

Happy Winter, dear Copic Lovers!

Over here in Switzerland, first snowfalls allready covered everything in white and so there are not much colors left arround... That inspired me for my following image. The most colourful moment during winter is the so called blue hour in the evening (just before sky is turning completely black), when the lights turn on and the stars shine bright... look at all the warm colours...
I've used the winter park background digi (by makeitcrafty.com)
and added sweet snowball tia digi (by Some Odd Girl).
Now for the light of the lantern and its shine I used Y000, Y11, Y13, Y19, Y38.
Then I did the trees and leaf using YG67, YG17, YG03, G40 and then coloured the sky
starting with the light part arround the lantern using the brightest blue first and blend
to the darker tones step by step using B0000, B32, B21, B23, B24, B26.
Next step was to colour the bow and Tia's tongue using R21, R46 and BV23 for shadowing.
For the stone wall I used C1, C4, C7, for the skin E0000, E00, E11.
Cheeks done with R21, R30 and face shadowing with BV23, BV20.
For the hair, bench and boots I used the warm browns E50, E53, E55, E57, E59.
Coloration of her jeans using B0000, B21, B23. Eyes done with YG17, YG03, G40.
Her Jacket and hat with Y11, Y13, Y19 and BV23, BV20 for the shadowing.
Now setting some shadows in the snow and on the boots fur using W0, W2, W4.
Some warm light reflections in the snow done with Y000, Y11.
Scarf and gloves have the same colours as the bow at the lantern (R21, R46, BV23).
With the Blender (0) I've created some white spots in the sky and went over the dots
with Y13 to brighten up the stars a little...

Thanks for stopping by & wish you warm winter evenings...
