orange/pink hair: YR07, 04, 02, RV17, 55, 52

Searching for my Love, by Suki Manga Art

"Searching for my Love",
this is the tittle of this new illustration. I created an original character for this. My inspiration was the famous "heart in hand" symbol.
It is a symbol with heart shape made with an open palm.

I hope you like it   ^___^

To create this illustration I used these colours:

Skin: E000 - E00 - E21 - RV10 - R000 - R81
Eye: BG01 - B05 - B24 - B29
Hair: Y11 - Y08 - B00 - BG01 - B05 - YG11 - YG06 - RV10 - R32 - E11 - BV00 - BV10
Background: B60 - Blender
Ribbon: R29 - R59 - W3 - C3 - C1
Rose: C3 - B60

I added few hearts digitally on the background and used white ink for little details.

Happy summer!

See you soon (^o^)/

For today's blog post I have made a Clean and Simple card for a Little Miss Sunshine.

Remember...

Good Morning!
I'm Cristina Valenzuela, and this is my card for July at Copic Europe.

Today I come with blue tones ...
I think Copic has a huge amount of blues, a lot of shades of blue with which it is always easy and fun to work.

My card have papers from Maja Design, with a beautiful fairy from Saturated Canary, I love this picture with that hair.

Copic colours I used:
Hair: E43, E44, E47.
Skin: E11, E02, E00, E000.
Wings and roses: B91, B93, B95.
Dress: B00, B000, B0000, B21.
Floor: E30.
Stones: E43.

For now, that's all!
I hope you like it, see you soon!

Mr Magoo has nothing on you!

This one is for all the myopic crafters and artists out there - yep, I have the eyesight of a mole without my trusty contacts or specs!  And having just had my annual visit to the opticians today (no prescription change, yeay) I thought this goofy little guy was rather appropriate.

As is my thing these days, I have opted for the "no-lines colouring" technique. Now, I won't go over how I do this yet again, instead here is a link to my previous post HERE

This stamp is quite small and delicate and I felt dark stamped lines would have overpowered the image too much.  I also kept the background very subtle, opting for pale colours and using a squiggly/dot pattern so the main focus is on Mr Turtle whilst he tries to impress the hamburger with his awesome chat up lines!!!

COPIC COLOURS
Turtle Shell/Burger Bun: E40, E41, E50, E70, YR30, E42, E43
Turtle Body: BG90, BG93, YG91, YG93
Glasses: B0000, C00
Hearts: R22, R35, W2
Burger: G12, G20, E31, E74, E77, E79, YG91, W2, Y32
Chip bag: B0000, C00, C0, C1, C2, C4, V20, YR30
Fries: E30, E40, E42, E44, E50, E51, E53, YR30, W6
Background: W00, W0, W1, W2, W4, BG0000, YR30

SUPPLIES
Stamps: Hamburger/Turtle??? by Peddlers Pack
Paper: Personal Impressions Smooth White Card
Colouring Medium: Copic Markers
Size of card: 3.5inch/ 8.8cm square

Thanks for visiting today, I hope this little guy made you smile - 'cause that's what art should do, right?

Muchness

Alice in Wonderland is definetely my favourite fairytale, I love the characters, the magical worlds and all the odd things that happen. Quite recently I saw part two, Alice Through the Looking Glass. I enjoyed it alot....

It reminded me of this image that I bought some time ago. It's a lovely Mad Hatter by the East Wind. The image is coloured with Copic Markers of course ;-).

I started colouring the face using E50 and E51 for some light shading. When I'm happy with the shadows I use a BV0000 to define them a bit more. For the deepest shadows on her face I use a B0000 also. Than I go to E00, to make the face look a bit warmer. A face is usually built up with cooler and warmer spots depending on where the skin is thicker or thinner.
Around the eyes I use a W1 and 3 because the eye sockets lay deeper than the rest of the face and therefore cast more shadows than any other part.

Then I blend all previous layers together with E0000.

For the hair I used E09 and YR14,15 and 18. Highlights are added with YR23.
This time I started with the darkest colours first. I have used the same colour combinations for the scarf around the hat and the one around her neck.

I have used the BG series for colouring her coat and hat. I started with BG09 the darkest colour working my way back to the lightest colour using BG07, 05 and 02. All layers were blended together with BG01. After the blending the darkest parts weren't dark enough, so I added some BG75 to get more depth.

The quote I used is by the Mad Hatter, I have written the words with a Molotov acrylic paintmarker (liquid chrome) and outlined all the letters with a Copic Multiliner 0.3 mm.

And this is the finished page in my art journal.

Have a wonderful day.

On My Mind

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today and I thought I'd share something using nice, bright, summery colours...

The image is called On My Mind and it's been drawn by Jeremiah Ketner. I love his art as it really gives you a chance to get to grips with smooth colouring and facial details like shading for noses and the iris of the eyes. And let's not forget about the hair!

I also coloured the background by hand, rather than using an Airbrush. Firstly, I laid down a rough and messy base coat of Y11. Working from the edge of the paper, I then added a second layer of colour, using Y13 and a dabbing, smooshy action. I didn't go right up to the edge of the image. I waited for this layer to dry and then repeated several times, using Y13 and not coming in as close to the image each time. Finally, just around the edge of the paper, I added some random dots of Y19.

Copics Used...
Background; Y11, Y13, YR24
Skin; E50, E51, E21, E11, E71
Hair; E21, E23, E25, E27, E29
Eye Whites; B63, B66
Yellow; Y13, Y19, YR24
Blue; B34, B37
Pink; RV91, R81, R83, R85
Red; R43,R35, R37, R39, W5

Thanks you so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

Un-conventional Chrismas Colours

Hello, hello Copic friends!

Franz from hot Italy here with a new little papercrafting project :)

I started very early with my Christmas cards this year and today I created one using un-conventional Christmas colours... and a super lovely Saturated Canary Fairy!

The card is a clean and simple one, but I used my well loved fuse tool to create a shaker box for the Chrismas ball, just to make something funny and different from my usual :)

Here is the complete list of Copic Markers I've used:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 + R20 for cheeks
Hair: E50, E51, E53
Eyes: B0000, B93
Lips: RV000, R83
Outfit-Blue - B0000, BG000, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Outfit-Grey: C0, C3
Outfit-Pink: RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89
Floor: W1, W3, 0

Tutorial: Dry & Wet embossing

Good morning everyone, today it's my turn to share with you a tutorial.
I made this technique before I met Copic, and now I wanted to see if I can ado the same thing with Copic.
Today I made a tea bag folder, so let's start.

Material needed:
* Glossy Paper
* Embossing Folder
* Versamark
*Embossing Powder
* Heat Gun
* Copic Refill (colour of your choice)

1. Cut your glossy paper and emboss it with your embossing folder
TIP: Don't use very delicate design, it will be hard to achieve a good heat embossing

2. With the Versamark  Gently sweep the ink on the raised areas
TIP: Use a juicy Versamark pad, it will give you a better result.

3. Apply embossing powder, with a small brush clear the unnecessary powder

Tip: Delicate powder will give a better result

4. Now we do the fun part.
Take your Copic refill and start to apply drops on the paper.
Here are the colours I used:

This is how it looks when its done:

5. Now its the second fun part: apply it to a card or in my case to my tea folder
My finish tea bag folder is 3"X 3"

6. Cut cardstock "3 x 9". Score it at 3" & 6"

7. Cut it as shown in the picture.

8. Glue the triangle wing & decorate

Voila... the teabag is done!
Hope you enjoy.
Wishing you a wonderful day.

hugs,
