Happiness Blooms from Within

Good morning Copic friends,

I have made an art journal page with a twist using the lovely Paperartsy stamps.

This is a two-layered journal page. I cut out some circles from the black page and added some doodling (love this in combination with a realistic drawn flower). All the images are coloured with Copic Markers. All the images outside the circles won't be coloured. They are covered by the black page and won't be able to catch some light. The light makes everything look brighter, more colourful and cheery, don't you think so too?

This is how the pages look from the inside.

In the photo video I'm showing you my colouring process and the numbers of the colours I have used for my project.

Hope you have enjoyed my blogpost, see you next month

Ice Christmas Penguin Scene Card & Video

Hello all,

Today I have a Christmas card for you..with lot of ice.
I hope it might be useful for all Copic card makers among us.

First of all I have printed the sweet and oh so cute digital stamp
called  "Ice Christmas" from LOTV  onto transotype Perfect Colouring Paper .

Here it is ,
now let's start to colour...
I have started with the lightest colour B0000.

After having coloured the ice blocks I thought it was fun to draw an icy background too.

I am not an expert but it is great to try new techniques right?
And practice is always the key.. It was such fun to do too !

Of course the cute penguin needed some colour too.

Below you can find the colouring video,
step by step to give an idea how I have created this card.

Was it clear?
It takes quite a lot of time to create videos but if they are helpful for you it is all worth it.
It would be nice to receive some feedback in the comments .

Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone,

A new post from me, Cordine, this time a Christmas card in monochrome with a touch of color.
I used a digi stamp from Powerpoppy, Ultimate Poinsettia. I have printed it in light grey for a no-line effect.

I only use the following colors :
C7 - C5 - C3 - C1 - C0

First I take a Multiliner 0,3 Cool Grey for the inside of the flower.

Then I begin the color the stamp.

After almost everything of the stamp is colored, I color 1 of the berry branches red for a splash of color. The colors I used is R59 - R46 - R14.

I glued the colored stamp on black-red- white cardstock, stamped a text and it's a Christmas card - my first for this year!

I hope that I inspired you to try this sometime!
Have a great week!

Mistletoads!

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here :)

I thought I'd drop by and show a card I made using some rather mischievous toads from Whimsy Stamps. The set is called Mistletoads and each toad is getting up to something fun. Anyway. I thought you might like to see my colouring process for this image. So here goes. My light source is coming from the top left and I am mostly colouring from dark to light...

YG03
I like to lay down some of my medium colour first. I do this for a couple of reasons. First, if I change my mind about where I am going to lay the shading, I can disguise this by going over the top with a darker colour. I also find some of my darker colours can be a little tricky. They play a lot better if they have a bit of ink to sit on.

YG01

Fill the remaining white spaces with YG01 once the ink is dry. You don't want these colours to blend.

W3 and W5 for cast shadows (under his chin, for example).

Add E84 and E87 to the spots on the toad, this makes him look a bit more dirty ;)

Also use E84 and E87 for the rope.
