Stronger´s rules

Hi there Copic loversElena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

I made a shaker card staying out of my "comfort zone". I made a marble style sea background, using Copic Refills.

Here is the finished project picture, but after that, you've got step by step pictures on how I  made the background and at the end of the post, a few step pictures to see how I coloured the fish.

For the background I used my Copic refills.

Starting my background with: B000, BG72, BG53.

Then I added an activator sprayed as the alcohol ink dries so fast.

Time to cover more of the desired area by adding more drops of BG10 and B93 here and there.

More light covering with B000 and a bit more activator to get the ink to run.

I splatted some gold pigment on the entire background to add more interest.

To finish I took my Multiliner and Copic Opaque White to add some random contrast between different ink marbles. I saw a similar design on Instagram and I found it very interesting so I went for it. Now my background is done.

To make my shaker I stamped my sea life design on acetate with Stazon black ink.

I coloured the fish a little, as they are the focus on the design. Be sure you colour on the reverse of the stamping - Stazon is not compatible with Copics.

On acetate you can't blend like on colouring paper, but this colouring is only to make the fish pop a little.

Still on the reverse of the stamping, I painted in Opaque White, the water bubbles to finish with this acetate window.

I coloured all the fish in the same way so I'm going to show you in steps how I coloured one of them.
Starting deepest colour with RV66.

Blend with medium tone RV55.

 Covering lightest areas with RV32.

Repeat these three steps again to add more depth.

 Covering spots with V09.

I coloured the fish tails in green. My first choice was violet but I thought this would be too dark, so I swapped to green, starting with lightest YG21.

 Medium tone YG23.

Some touches of G94 on the deepest areas of tails.

Don´t forget to repeat these steps again to blend colouring well.

Hope you enjoyed this post.
Thanks for sticking with me to the end!

the beauty of your dreams

Hi lovely Copic friends.
In today's project I have combined Copic Markers with Derwent Inktense blocks.

Make a sketch.

I start colouring the skin, using a cool skintone, E50.

Add some shadows with the BV00.

Use a warmer skintone now, the E00.

And now it's time to blend all the layers together using the E0000.

I decided to add some more shadows with blue and grey to add more depth to my drawing. I use the  BG000 and a tiny bit of the W1.

For the eyes I use  B18, B16, B14 and B12. Start with the darkest colour first and work your way back to the lightest.

For the lips I use RV91, RV93, RV95, RV00 and RV21.
Although I start colouring the eyes with the darkest, I start colouring the lips with the lightest colour. There is no real reason for doing this. And there is no wrong or right way, I think, just what you like best.

Time to colour the hair.
I start with RV21 and V12.

Add some  BG000.

Next some YG11.

Blend the colours together with E000.

For more depth I use a darker hue of every colour I already used. I start with V15.

Add RV23, BG01 and YG13.

Blend all the colours together with E000.
For her sweater I start with RV21.

Add more depth with RV23.

Blend all the colours together with RV00.

For more definition I add some colouring pencils.

Now it's time to add some black markers for the eyes and eyelashes.

Also use some white to add highlights in her eyes and hair.

The background is coloured with Derwent Inktense Blocks, some stamps and stencils.
I found this wonderful quote on the internet.

See you next time,
Miranda

short update about Spain

Hello,

Unfortunately, I have to let you know that we do not have a Copic Instructor in Spain anymore. We have canceled all cooperation with her.
She can no longer offer courses in the official European Copic Coloring Program.
We hope to find a new Instructor soon, so that we can be of service again with our lessons.
Also the Copicmarkerspain blog is separate from the Copic community, she can not use the name Copic anymore.
All lessons under the name Copic are therefore illigal
Kind regards also on behalf of Siv Andersen.
Regards Diny Sprakel

Saludos Diny Sprakel.

Fantasy Night Scene by Cicci

Colouring a Night scene.

Hi Everyone.
Cicci here today, to show how I made this Fantasy Night scene :0)
I have used these Markers for the whole scene...
Combo: BG10 11 B45 26 29 37 39 BG23.

Step 1
At first I Draw a sketch of how I want the scene to look.
Then I start to paint the contours on the moon with BG10.

Step 2 and 3
I continue with BG11 on the area where I have already laid BG10 and also I colour outside the moon with BG10 so the paper going to be a little wet. Its more easy to blend the colours if you do that.

Step 4
Add at first B45 around the moon in the area that you added BG10 and also outside that area.
Then you add B26 on the area where you coloured with B45 and a little outside to
blend with B45.

 Step 5
I added a little BG02 inside the area on the Moon where I colour with BG11.

Step 6
Blend BG02 with BG10 and BG11 and continue to colour with B26 outside the area where the B45 is.

Step 7
Here I added the contour for the hills with B26.

 Step 8
I coloured the forest With B26.

 Step 9
Add some BG11 over the forest.

 Step 10
Make some more hills with BG10.
And at the same time I added more BG10 around the moon.

Step 11
Here I have coloured the whole area for the sky with B26 and also added B26 over the hills I drew before. Leave some white space for branches.

 Step 12
Now you colour the white areas with BG10.

Step 13
Add more BG10 on the hills below the forest.

 Step 14
Add BG11 on the tree nearest your light source (the Moon).

 Step 15
Then I added some lines on the tree with B26 to add some texture.
I also added B45 on the hills.

Step 16
I continue to add texture to the tree with the B29 on the part of the tree furthest from the moon. I continue with BG75 and blend the whole tree with BG72.

Here's a photo of how it will look when I have added all the colours one more time.
After that, I added little strokes on the tree with B39 and B37 for more texture.
After that I blend carefully with BG72.

 Step 17
Here I have add B39 for the whole forest at the front.
Blend with B37 and BG72 over the tree tops the same way I did over the hills.

Step 18
Here I have add more colours for the hills.
I have used B45 26 BG72.
Blend with BG11 10.

Step 19
I go over the whole scene with BG72 and blend with BG23 for a darker look.

Step 20
I did a last step and added some dots on wthe hole colouring to make it more fun.
I used Posca markers for the dots; white, green, light blue, black, yellow and pink.

Have a wonderful day from us here at the Copic Europe Blog.

HUGS and Smiles
