Challenge #49: Animals!

Challenge #49

Hi everyone!

Deborah here for you with the super fun NEW challenge #49!
Thank you for all who participated in our latest challenge in our Facebookgroup, the winner will be chosen by random.org and will be announced on Thursday March 31.

Our new challenge is:

Animals!
I think that's an easy one. There are so many stamps that contain at least one animal. That could be a butterfly, dog, cat, mouse,... It don't have to be the main image or the animal can be on your papers too. So let's join the fun!

Here's some inspiration for you. I think this stamp by Stamping Bella (designs by Mo Manning) is a realy cute image and the text made me smile when I saw it. And look at his adorable cheeks, I bet they are full with cake!!! Mmm, cake...

Here are the Copic colours I've used:
Hamster: E59, E37, E35, E33, E31
legs: E02
orange topper: E08, YR07, YR04, YR02, YR00
cake: E29, E25, E23, E31, E21
paper: N7, BG09, BG05, BG01, BG000
ground: C05, C03, C01
sprinkles: RV17

If you are looking for an idea how to colour an animal, Faye made an awesome short bobbly fur tutorial for this blog and you can find it HERE.
And Vili made a tutorial for long fur hair and you can find it HERE.

So no excuses for not entering the challenge, haha!

To enter, enter your picture in the right folder in the photo section of our Facebook group
before the end of April 27.
The winner will be announced on April 30.

Now it's your turn! Show us your work, and you can win
3 sketch markers of your choice.
Please be aware that only entries from those living in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East are possible to win.

Hugs,

Deborah

Hello Spring!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a spring card, with lots of flowers - on my image, I'm still as CAS as ever ;)!

I used the adorable Forget Me Not Wryn by Tiddly Inks. I resized and cropped my digi image in MS Word, printed it and coloured it with my Copics. I then picked a piece of Doodlebug DP to match my Copic colours and cut it with an MFT die from the Stitched Basic Edges set. And I stamped a sentiment by Paperbabe Stamps.

Skin: E000, 00, 11, 70
Hair:BV04, T7, 9
Flowers: B24, 26, 28, 39, Y17, G28, YG03

Thank you very much for your visit, have a beautiful spring day! Hugs,

Made with love

Hello everybody!

Its time for me, Christina, to show you some inspiration here at Copic Europe this lazy Sunday.

I have made a baby card for a friend who is attending a baby shower today. Baby showers are not that common in Sweden, not yet, but I think it's a great way to celebrate the mother and to shower her with gifts and to pamper her all day long!

The card - I used this cutie from hÄnglar & stÄnglar. I'm so glad I got a hold of these stamps. I just love to color them. And I have used some favourite markers - the RVs.

Isn't she adorable? The sentiment says "made with love". I think it works well with the occasion.

I have used the following markers

Clothes RV97-95-93-91
Skin E13-11-21-00-000-R11-20
Hair E29-25-23
Ground E77-74-71-70

That's all from me this time! Until next time - have a wonderful Sunday and a lovely Easter..

Up, up and away!

Here is a simple card with a detailed image
a combination that I love!

Apart from the central image, everything else is drawn by hand and I think it sets the scene for this adorable young pilot and his passenger.

Copic Maintenance; Refill and Clean!

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

Anyone that has ever had a class with me will tell you how much I bang on about keeping your Markers clean and full! Aren't they lovely when they arrive at your house, not sticky, clean nibs and lids, full and juicy? And don't they colour smoothly because of it?!

I know we just want to get on with the important colouring stuff, but with a little time and care, your Copics will repay you by playing nicely.

So here's what I do with mine...

What you will need:

Dirty, sticky Markers (don't be shy, I know you have some!)
Copic Re-Inkers
Tissue
Ear Buds
Yoghurt Pot (Eat the yoghurt first. Trust me on this one)
Scrap Paper

Here are some of my dirty Markers...

My C3 has a sticky nib too. This will cause me problems if I let it get worse...

So, let's get started. Firstly, I refill my Markers by taking the chisel nib out and adding a few drops of ink. Some people like to weigh the Marker, some people like to fill the Marker until the ink drops from the Brush end. I just add a few drops at a time and when the brush nib feels juicy, I stop...

Pour some Copic Cleaning Fluid into a clean, empty pot, enough to dunk the whole brush nib in...

Dunk the whole marker, including the brush nib, in the pot...

Give the Marker a really good swoosh around...

Remove the Copic from the pot and wipe the plastic areas with some tissue. You might need to repeat these two steps if your Marker is really gunky. Ssssh, I'm not looking...

Time for the Marker lid to get some lovin'. Pop it in the pot and give it a swoosh around...

Use the ear bud to get deep into the lid and then wipe with tissue...

Scribble on some scrap paper until the ink returns to the correct colour...

All finished...

Lovely clean and full Markers *happy sigh*

So, now you have no excuses. Look after your Markers and they will look after you!

Thanks so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

Hair: E43, E53, E55, E51.
Headband: E70, E71, E74, YG06, G845.
Eyes: YG61, YG93, C3.
Eyeshadow: V000, V20.
Cheeks: R43, R20.
Bottle: E70, E71, E74, E77, V15, V17, V06, G02.

Flare and Background: Y21, YG21, Y11.
Pants and Top: V20, V22, V25.
Bow Dress: V000, V01, V12.

And that's all!
Happy weekend!
Thanks for your visits and comments, kisses!

Fairy

Dear Copic friends,

I have made a card with a fairy by Mo's Digtal Pencil shop.
Most fairies are such beautiful and tiny creatures, but this fairy is a bit more stout, I think she loves food just like me. I really enjoyed colouring her.
.

Hair: E51-E53-E55

Dress: V000-V12-V15-V17

Have a wonderful and creative day,

every flower....

For today's project I have used the new Dylusions doodled blooms and when there is doodling involved you can take your Copic Markers and start colouring.
The flowers were so much fun to colour. Allthough I only used 3 colours in total the whole project looks cheery and bright.

I have stamped the flowes on Copic Marker paper and used a limited colour palette this time:
purples: BV 04,08, FV2
pinks: RV04,06,09
blues: B02, 04, 06

A close-up of the flowers.
I have added a little extra doodling using a white molotov marker and some black multiliners. (brush small and brush medium).

Used the white molotov marker and the multiliners for the quote too.

have a creative day and see you next month
Miranda
