Challenge #48

Hi everyone!

Deborah here for you with the super fun NEW challenge #48!
Thank you for all who participated to our latest challenge on our Facebookgroup, the winner will be chosen by random.org and will be announced on monday February 29th

Our new challenge is:

Happy birthday!

We all need to make some birthdaycards for someone and I always enjoy making them.
It's heartwarming that you know you'll make someone happy with a fun, bright or positive card on their special day. So let's join the fun!

Here's some inspiration for you. I was on a craftshow with friends and I saw this super cute owl by Whimsy Stamps called "Look Whoo". I loved this little guy with the partyhat on his head and holding a balloon. He's so cute with his big eyes.
I found the right paper in my stash to go with him. After I coloured the stamp, I've added some glossy accents on his eyes and on the balloon.

Here are the Copic colours I've used:
Feathers: E59, E37, E35, E33, E31, E51
Eyes: C3, C1, C0, BG09, BG05, BG01
Orange: E09, YR07, YR04, YR02, YR00
Yellow: Y17, Y15, Y11
Blue: BG09, BG05, BG01,BG000
Pink: RV69, RV17, RV55, RV52
Branch: E29, E25, E23, E21

To enter, enter your picture in the right folder in the photo section of our Facebook group
before the end of March 29th.
The winner will be announced on March 31.

Now it's your turn! Show us your work, and you can win
3 sketch markers of your choice.
Please be aware that only entries from those living in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East are possible to win.

Hugs,

It´s time for me, Christina, to inspire you.

I have made a birthday card for a cute little girl, who is turning 8.

I used this cutie from The Greeting Farm and I just love her. The hair!! It so fun to colour. I coloured her three times, each time in different colours. But I think I like the black the most.

I have used the following pens

Hair N9-7-5-3-BV29-100
Dress/scarf/bows RV69-66-63-10

No Coloring card - Copic Re-inker with hand Sanitizer

Hello everyone.

So happy to be here today and to share with you a tutorial using Copic Re-inker & hand sanitizer.
I enjoy this technique very much, hope you will like it too So let’s get started….

Materials needed:
Craft sheet
Glossy cardstock (I used Ranger)
Copic re-inker: B000, B02, B05, B97, YG03, YG23
Hand sanitizer that include alcohol in it (I used one with 70% alcohol)
2 Stamps: one for the background and one that will be embossed
Versamark
Gold embossing powder – STAMP-n-STUFF
Embossing heat gun

1.     On the glossy cardstock I drop a few drops from each colour, its beautiful to see how the colours spread. I play with it until I am pleased with the final look. Let it dry.

2.  pour a small amount of the hand sanitizer on the craft sheet, with my finger I spread it to a thin layer. The hand sanitizer will be my “ink”.

For the background I used a swirl stamp from Inkadinkado. I dab the stamp in the hand sanitizer and stamp it on the card. Don’t lift your hand quickly. Let the alcohol in the hand sanitizer work. Let it dry.

If you want another layer you can do it. I made another layer this time I put a tiny amount of hand sanitizer for more detailed look.
Tip: it’s important to let it dry in between layers of stamping.
After finishing stamping let dry completely.

3.   This is how it looks after stamping 2 layers with the hand sanitizer.

4.   For my main image I used Persian Motifs set stamps from ALTENEW. I stamped with Versamark ink, spread Gold Tinsel embossing powder and heated it with an embossing gun.

5. Now its time to assemble the card, and here is the final card.

6. Hope I gave you new ideas to play with this technique.

Until next time.
Hugs,

Made for each other

Hello there, did you have a great weekend?

Today I thought I'd share with you the card I made my dear husband, Peter for Valentine's Day!

Background paper from stash
Polaroid die - Quickutz
Copics:
Cookie - W8, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, R20, E23, E25, E27, E29, RV32, RV34, B0000, W7, V20
Milk - B0000, C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, V20, R24
