Happy Swing

Hi coopic friends,
Elizabeth here today with copic inspiration for you.
My coloring this time was very much inspired by my talented team- mate Deborah.
I love these cute girls on the swing.

I thought I would make the card in soft tones to make the image pop.
The papers are by Maja Design, Flowers by WOC and Kort og Godt, Sentiments by Kort og Godt and Norsk Stempelblad. Dies by La La Land Crafts, and the punch used is by Martha Stewart.

The image is by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Copic Markers used:
Skin: E13-11-21-000, R20-24-35
Hair: E59-57-53-51 and E29-25-21
Shorts: B99-97-95-93-91
Pink: E89-85-83-81
Purple: V09, V28-25-22-20
Black: W9-7-5-3-1
Sky: BG0000-10, B000, C03-01-00

I made the card for my daughter's teacher at the end of this school year.
It says Thank you in Norwegian. I thought the image was perfect for a wonderful teacher who really loves to teach!

Wishing you all a wonderful summer!

Super Fun with Copics!

Hello Copic fans!

My name is Jane, a Copic colour artist from the UK and one of the new members joining the Copic Europe Design team.
I've been using Copic markers since 2010 and I look forward to sharing my work, hints and tips with you!

To get things started I thought I'd create something using one of my favourite techniques:
No-lines Colouring

Super Boy - Whimsy Stamps

Copic Colour List
(beware - I tend to use a lot!!)

Cape: R21, R22, R24, R29, R39, W0, W1, W2, W4, W6, W8
Suit: B00, B12, B14, N1, N2, N3, YR20, Y23, YR31, Y26, W1
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E41, V20
Hair: E23, E13, W1, E21, E53, E50
Boots: R21, R22, R24, R27, R29, R39, W1, W2, W4, Y23, YR21, Y26
Mask: R22, R24, W2, W4
Gloves: C0, C1, C2, C4, C6, R21, R24
Floor: YR30, E50, E51, E81, E42, E43

Hints & Tips:

In order to create a no-lines colouring you will need to stamp your image using a much paler coloured ink, I used Memento Angel Pink.

I would also recommend that you stamp your image in your usual black ink on a scrap piece of paper for reference purposes - as you colour you will find that some of the pale lines will disappear and you will need to keep referring to the black image so you don't colour the wrong bit.
Trust me, doing this makes the technique much easier!!

As you can see you will end up with a much softer looking image.

Well that's about it for now,
I hope you've enjoyed reading my first post!!

Cheers Easel Card

Good morning everyone, Sarit here for another Copic inspiration.

My nephew celebrate 30 and I wanted to make a card with humor blink, I also wanted the card to give him some cheer-up whenever he will look at it,          so I made an Easel card.

This is card is perfect to sit on a table or shelf.
For this card, I used "Life of the Party" Digital Stamps from Redonkadoodles.

I wanted the hair to have some glamour so I used the BV family.

For the dress I HAD to use red, I love red dress I couldn’t think her in another dress color…. :0)

I used BG000 to "show" the glass (I used it only on the shadow)

For the border, I used Beaded Arcs Martha Stewart punch.

I cut 1 inch wide and punched from both sides. As you can see it, gives a new look.

The saying "cheers" was printed and I cut it with my CuttleBug.

Here is the Markers I used for this beautiful woman:

Hair: B32, BV23, BV25, BV29, C9

Hope you like my card

Wishing you a beautiful day

Sometimes love hurts

Hello everyone!

I'm Saskia, perhaps you already know me from facebook, but i'm so glad that i’m one of the new members for the Copic Marker Europe DT. I am 45 and married. We live in a cozy village in Noord Brabant in the Netherlands. I have been crafting for about 20 years now. But since 6 years i'm completely addicted to colouring with Copic Markers. Diny Sprakel introduced me to the Copic Markers............. and since then I am addicted to colouring with them. You can probably  say that I am a Copic Junkie.
Colouring with Copic Markers is my way of stress release after a workday.

I 'm a huge fan of Aurora wings. So my first creation that i want to show is a Sprtite by Aurora wings.
I love fantasy stories and films, so you will mainly see fantasy figures on my creations.
The background  for this sprite is made with the airbrusch.
I only used 3 copic colors: B02 - RV09 en YG17 to make this background

I started with a blue layer and then I added pink and green. I have blended the pink and green colours with ....., so  the colours won't  look so bright.
It 's fantastic
to make your own background , because you can match the colours perfectly with your coloured image. The quote that I use on my creations are often my feelings at that moment.
The letters are made with Copic Multi Line black 0.3

The flowers and the letters are made with stencils by Tim Holtz.
The raindrops are stamped and are form the brand by Ryan Tanaka.

Skin: E000-00-11 and R20
Hair: YR 23-27 and Y15
For all the greens: YG01-13-17-67
Pink Leaves : RV51-53-55-66-69

Until next time!!!

How I Colour Fur

Hi, everyone!
Here's Vili and today I'd like to show you the way I colour fluffy fur. I chose a really cute Silviya Zet's stamp - Fluffy Hanging There, which, sadly, can't be found digital anymore.

I decided to make my Fluffy not in the traditional "forest" colours but in more unusual ones. I chose the Warm Grey range of colours and started colouring the whole fur with the lightest one:

Then it comes a little bit darker one, and I mark the places of the shadows with it:

And the darker one:

And the darker ones:

I've said many times that after I've put the darker colours I return to the two lighter ones and I go over with them again:

Now I need my Copic Classic markers because they have fine nibs, useful for fine details:

After the darker spots are ready I put in the darkest colour:

I leave out the other steps of the colouring because this post will become too long but my Fluffy is almost ready:

Now it's time to highlight the lightest spots, using white gel-pen:

And Fluffy is completely ready:

Copics used:
Fur: W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, W9
Flowers: RV52, RV55, W3
Background: V20, V22, V25
Earth: E50, E51, E53, E55

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

Lets see...what are the colors of Sea? :)

Hi everybody!

Today I would  like to show you another clean and simple card.
I'm really into background stamps recently :)) Besides of it's beauty, I really want to show our followers that Copic markers can be used in so many different ways. So...lets expand horizons... Shall we? :))

At hot days like this all I can think of is SEA! So I took most suitable background stamp and than...went to google as I was completly at loss... What ARE the colors of the sea?!!! )

So after 20 minutes I selected all necessary markers...and here is the result:

After coloring the whole background I added sparkle with Wink of Stella and a bit of Ranger stickles (which looks like a foam on a wave). Small fishes are colored with Copics too...as all over parts of the card. So basically all you need is white paper, stamps and markers - and you ready to create something very special and fun.

The key numbers are:

Sea - BG000, B01, BG02, BG10, BG11, BG23, BG34, BG45 BG72,BG78
Fishes - Y11, Y32, Y35, YR12
Sentiment - RV04

Wishing you a great day and very creative mood!

be YOU-nique

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a few images by Ching-Chou Kuik and the one I used for today's creation is called Blue Sea Illusion. Isn't she wonderful? And I had a wonderful time colouring her.

I decided to use this blue mermaid fairy in my art journal.
I started with making my background with the Dylusions Paints and some lovely stencils by Dutch Doobadoo. For the border I used a Dylusion stamp and some white and black markers.

The image is off course coloured with my Copic Markers.

I have been using the following colours:
skin: E000,01,01,11,21,04,  BV00
hair: B02,04,05,06,39
eyes: YG03,05,17
butterflies: YG03, 07,17, Y15, 17, B05, 07
leaves: YG03,05,17
yellow dots: Y15, 17
jewelry: Y15, 17, YG03,05,17

the quote was found on the internet and was anonymous

have a colourful day
see you next month

Tutorial - Colouring Smooth Sand

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a little tutorial on how to colour smooth sand. Sometimes I like adding little dots to sand to create texture but I also really like smooth sand, creating texture just by simply blending, which is what I am showing you today.

To colour sand, I usually use either the E30s (E30 to E35) or the E40s, which I have chosen for today's post. I'm only using E40, 41, 42, 43 here and the image I'm using is The Beach digi stamp by Make It Crafty.

Step 1

Start with your darkest colour - E43 - and create small horizontal ripples with your marker. Put some E43 near the edge of the water which will be darker due to the sand being wet there.

Step 2

Take your next lightest colour - E42 - and go over the ripples you have created, making them a little bit larger and longer.

Step 3

Take your next colour - E41 - and again, go over what you have previously done and widen the areas you have already created. Colour following the direction of the ripples, making horizontal sweeping strokes. Make sure you leave some white "stripes", which will help give more depth to your sand.

Step 4

Now take your lightest marker - E40 - and lightly fill the spaces you have left white, always colouring following the direction of the ripples.

If you think your sand is not dark enough or if you want more contrast, you can repeat the 4 steps once, going again from dark to light.

Next colour, the rest of your background.

And finish your card in a way that you like :) Here, I have added a cute character by CC Designs, called Swiss Pixie Summer and created a frame with my By DIEzyne Big Stiched Rectangles.

Skin: E000, 00, 01, 13, 71
Hair: B12, T5, 7, 9
Hairband: V09, 15, 17
Swimsuit: RV06, 09, V09, 15, 17, Y35
Shells: R00, 02, Y02, 21, 26, 28
Sand: E40, 41, 42, 43
Sea: B04, BG07, 45, 57, 75
Palm Trees: B96, 99, G94, E29
Sky: BG000, V000

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great weekend! Hugs,

Relax!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a summer card with a simple scene done with a stamp, a stencil, my airbrush and of course my beloved Copics!

The cute little girl I used is called Pina Colada by CC Designs. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured her in Copics and then cut her out.

For the background, I used a piece of drawing paper intead of smooth card to have a bit of texture, because I really like how the airbrushing looks on it. I chose a CC Designs stencil called Sun And Surf, which includes the sun and the waves. I airbrushed the sun first, starting with my lightest colour to be able to go darker then and not make the mistake of starting too dark. I then used a darker shade of yellow and ended by adding a bit more of my lightest yellow.
For the waves, I picked different shades of blue, did the waves with my stencil and put a paper mask to create the horizon.

Skin: E000, 00, 01, 13, 71
Hair: 100, B41, T5, 7, 9
Dress: RV04, 06, 09, Y35
Shoes: C1, RV06, 09, Y19, 15, 26
Sun: Y15, 38
Sea: B01, 04, 06, 18

Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely Sunday! Hugs,
Delphine xx
