Birthday Wishes

Goodmorning dear readers,

Today I have a Clean and Simple card for you.
For me isn't it so simple to make a CAS card.
I love to use tons of flowers, ribbon, doily's and all the other lovely embellies.
To make a CAS card it's an empty card, it feel like that.

This is my result, what do you think? Did I succeeded??

I print the digital image from The Paper Shelter on Straw cardstock
and colored her with Copic Markers.
Kraft Cardstock is very soft paper and the ink can flow out the lines
So you have to color with less ink than usual.

After coloring I use some blue Frantage on the ground and edges.

And then you're finish, Know I'm writing this post I, it's seem Simple'
Bud I think that this card cost me much more time than all my other cards.

Green means Hope

Hello, dear Copic Friends,
In Germany we say that "Green means Hope", so I made a very, very green card to express my hope for better weather. It is raining all day, it is so cold that I have to light a fire in the oven - it is MAY!!!  It should be warm enough to wear desses like this without a fur cape around the shoulders!

The image is  "Double Take" from Saturated Canary, the papers are from Maja Design.
The lovely German sentiment means "You are unique 365 days a year", that is a nice compliment, isn't it? It is part set of clear stamps from Noor! Design.
Copics I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E93
Hair: W4, W6, W7, W9
Dress: G20, G21, G24, W1
Shadows: W00, W0, W1

Let's hope for the weather to turn to the better soon!
Big Hugs

Under the sea…

Hello dear all Copic friends,

It’s Cinzia here today, and this is the new card  I made for Copic Marker Europe blog.
What about  of a little piece of summer that seems so far to come?
So I chose a sea image, a little mermaid that swims under the sea,  and used again a digi image, Copic Markers works perfect with them.

The gorgeous image is from Crafts and Me and is called “The little mermaid”, it is drawn by the artist Sara Burrier; the sentiment is from Magnolia; the papers are Maya Design from the last “Vintage Spring basics” collection; the dies are Magnolia Doohickeys “Peacock feathers”, Cheery Lynn “French Pastry Doily”, Joy! Crafts cutting and embossing corner and strip.

Here is a close up of the colored image:

And now a close up of a detail…

Copic  Markers:
Skin:  R000, R00, RV000, RV0000
Hair:  E 50, E51, E 53, E57

Airbrushed Tag

 Hello to all copic fans!
Kjersti here, and today I have made you an airbrush tutorial.
I often use tags, inspired by Tim Holtz. However there
will be a big difference when copic provides a glossy surface

To avoid spills I use Clearsnap Color Catcher when working.
Always start outside the tag, switch on the compressor and turn
the sketch marker until you get a steady colour spray. Then start
to airbrush by moving the handle sloooow back and forth
  - when you think it is slow enough - try a bit slower.
That way you get a smooth and nice colour result.

I start with the lightest color, adding the dark right out at the edge.
The tag is split in two colours, copics used:
YR12,YR14,E84 og E87
YG97, YG95 og E87

The image, an old Paperback Studio stamp, is embossed.
It is important to finish the airbrushing before stamping, for

unlike DistressInk the copic ink covers the embossing.

The flowers, a Penny Black stamp, is colored with copic
marker E44, sprayed with activator and then stamped. Just
wait a second or two before you stamp - to avoid the ink to bleed.
I also used the activator for the "raindrops" on the tag.

Finally, I sprayed through a doilie using E89 - I really love the effect.
I also use the doilie for decoration - between the Copic paper
and the cardboard.

And here is the tag I made, finished with flowers, lace and twine.

Hope I managed to inspire you to play
with airbrush and Copic.

Wish you a wonderful week!
Hugs Kjersti:)

Pretty Cool

Hi dear Copic Lovers,
Think I really don't have to tell you that Copic Markers are pretty cool... :)
But that's a fact and therefore all the lovely and hyper talented DT girls are showing you again and again how cool they are... so do I today. Just want to show you this card I've made.

I've used this cute Cowgirl Digi-Image by Mo Manning and coloured her with the following Copic Sketch Markers:

E0000, E000, E11, E21, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, E50,
B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, N1, N4, N6, G43, G46, Y04,
RV000, RV10, RV21, RV23, R21, R22,

As I have so many paper scraps, I'm actually using them by combining colours I normally didn't combine in the past... and often I'm totally surprised what turns out in the end. So, I love these pretty cool Copic Sketch Markers, as I find EVERY kind of colour shade to match my Design Papers and/or Flowers, Laces etc... Here I loved to use this blue paper with all the stars printed on it, and so I coloured the skirt on my images using the same jeans blue tones. Hat and Boots in brown matching the brown dotted Design Paper. But to make it more girlie I added some pink details like flowers, lace and brads...

PRETTY COOL GREETINGS :)

Flower Fairy

Morning Copic Fans,

Tracy here and I am excited to show you one of the Whimsy Flower Fairies from BunnyZoe, these images are just the cutest.  I have also tried out Mariska's paper piecing tutorial, something I have wanted to do for ages.  A word of advice though, I think it would of gone a lot better had I had the correct tools, i.e. the scissors and the correct glue.  I have just used ordinary glue and you don't get quite as much dimension.  The tiny elements on this stamp were rather fiddly but I do love the result, but hats off to Mariska as you need a lot of time and patience.

The little paper bag that is holding the tag was white.  I used my copic airbrusth system and BV000 to colour the bag lilac, something I'd be doing more of as I love everything to match.

The Design papers are from Magnolia called Hydrangea. The leaves were cut from Marianne Design Swirl and Leaves 3 set, all available from BunnyZoe.

Here's a sideview.

The beautiful butterfly is by Magnolia called "Butterfly Kit.  It comes with two different size butterflies and also the butterfly text which I have used just underneath the butterfly here and also can be seen on the left hand side.

Copic Marker Ingredients:-
Skin E00, E000, E0000, E11
Hair E43, E31, E29, E50
Lilac's BV11, BV01, BV000
Cream E44, E42, E40
